  1. My plastic ones (old model straight jacket) that I broke on friday, I have had for well over 5 years You don't count; you're a ranga.
  2. yeah, i've officially re-assesed them, since they are metal and that knob is functional, I like them a little on the pricey side though EDIT: And none with black lenses without going "custom" (uleh) looking on ebay now...
  3. ahh, they're actually metal. I thought they were plastic. Still looks shit
  4. An interesting opinion, because I think they are the only two models in the current plastic range that don't look like completely overdone arse-wankery. Exhibit A, Juliet: What's with the gay bit sticking out in the corner? FFS, they would be good if not for that. Same deal with the pennys, except they are even worse. Exhibit B, Jawbone: What wanker would be seen in those? Exhibit C, all the rapper/gangsta spec big square shit things: And all the other models that fit that category too... And then the half frame ones, I can't stand any of them: Straight jacket and minute seem to be the only sensible ones left. Agreed though, old minute was much better (as was old straight jacket). I think I'll definitely get a set of the square whiskers, although I'll sleep on it and decide tomorrow. May get a set of minutes as well for the odd occasion I have to do something sport-like You are a terrorist. And yeah any plastic sunnies in white definitely makes you a cocknugget roidhead
  5. These both look damn sexy on me: But then again so do these ones: Nobody had these ones for me to try The incredibly hot chick @ sunglass hut said I should get the plastic ones, but then wouldn't give me her phone number (even when I had them on) so her opinion is no longer relevant. They are that cheap on eGay I might get one set of the wires and one of the plastics...
  6. HAHAHAHA, I laughed hard when I opened that thread and saw the picture
  7. Oh we push the boundary just that little bit further each time don't we?
  8. That's what he's asking. What will people prefer/go to. I'll change my preference to next wed (28) because i may still be a bit sick this wed
  9. Naah mang, thursday would be awesome! <3 *hand up* *hand up*
  10. I got an oil filter fitted to my alfa motor and played red alert great success
  11. Oil filter success: Screwed filters on and off a number of times and the loctite seems to be holding the fitting in place well . Also o ring seems to be sealing around the whole edge so the fitting should be straight. And yes, that is an RB oil filter
  12. sorry i didn't come and help mang. I still feel like shit, think it will be another 'strayen day tomorrow
  13. Mobile thread dude has been, hole is now threaded to 3/4 UNF: He did a real pro job, shoved rags up both galleries to block filings, and used a square every qtr turn or so when starting it to make sure the tap was going in straight. Here's hoping theres no sneaking filings in there. Shouldn't be. Cut the M18 half of my nissan fitting off, so I was just left with the 3/4 section. Wound it in about 1/3 of the way with loctite: Will see how well that holds when the loctite sets. If its not good enough, I'll have to either grab another nissan fitting and put it in backwards (therefore requiring an M18 relocator plate) or get a 3/4 UNF male-male fitting with a positive locator (ie a nut in the middle)
  14. That's what she said You need to use plastic primer Opinions ppl? or something a little more Michael Westen-ish I like these ones but they don't come with a black iridium lense
  15. Protip: engine + box out together is by far the easiest way. Then bolt box to new engine and engine + box back in together as well I can't come help today as I have to wait for the mobile thread repair dude. Tomorrow I might be able to If you end up with a spare set of engine mounts - shotgun
  16. This afternoon's progress, minor though it may be: Fixed the door handle on my XF for about the 17th time Then cut some more thread on these epic long studs: And then cut them down: I decided to use a dremel for this job instead of the angle grinder (yes soft I know). Got another mobile thread guy coming tomorrow who said he can tap that oil filter hole and keep all the filings out
  17. rb30ets are shit low compression motors with shit turbos 30e+t is a much better option. or 20 or 25. or alfa motor
  18. this set lasted me for years, although i did go through a few sets of lenses (due to my own stupidity) they are without a doubt the best quality non-polarised lenses around, and I can't stand polarised. unfortunately all their current models seem to range from being a bit gay to being a lot gay
