Yeah, you should really be getting 10x the speed that you are. According to TPG maps: Line of sight distance: 231m. Possible cable distance: 393m. So basically, you are next door to it Yeah thats about what I was getting at St lucia, hope to get a lot more now because I'm closer to the exhange (although not as close as colin, about 600m line of site for me, 1-1.2km cable distance)

well 260kb is about right for a 2mb line speed. But if you are that close to the exchange with ADSL2, you should be getting closer to 20mb line speed and 2000kb download. Wots ur address (PM me if you like)

Dlink are cr*p . But I think theres another issue at play here. Goodo. Try going to http://www.speedtest.net/ to test your speed. Then see if you can find in your modem the line attenuation and noise, and synch speeds and post them up for me, along with the speed test results. (Make sure nothing else is smashing the internets when u run the speed test, ie torrents, etc). They are teh sex +1

No, one carton of XXXX and one of carlton You shouldn't filter the line that the adsl is on... If you have a 'splitter' that has an input and 2 outputs (one that says 'phone' and one that says 'adsl' or 'modem') then that's ok, just make sure you use the adsl/modem one. But if its just a plain old filter (one input one output) f**k it off, it'll be filtering out most of your adsl bandwidth

Mad props to TPG who just waived the 30 day cancellation notice for me because I asked nicely. 600x300 is a very common size. Can SOMETIMES manage to fit them in 31 bumpers without cutting (usually have to remove air con though). not sure about 32.

Actually that reminds me, i think what you want is a "Stealth" kit, which you can get for 32s/33s. These are designed to fit without hacking anything, and run the pipes through the stock holes and everything.
