  1. Zennon - nice pics dude I like the star trails.. I miss doing them.. Passive - Just thought i let you know that you dont need a tripod to take pics of the moon. Off-course if you have a telescope its going to be hard to hand held it, but for a lens up to say 200mm is just fine hand held. Also i see your exposure is 1 second; hense why its blury. The moon is the brightest thing in our sky at night so there really isnt a need for long exposure. Here is a photo hand held at 200mm and shutter speed at 1/250th of a second from memory. I understand you need a zoom lens to see this much detail, but just thought i let you know that if you taking a pic of just the moon then you dont need such a long exposure and hand held is do-able. Love the penguin photo!! Got any more?

  3. I like how the graffiti wraps around the sign 'bill posters prosecuted'. Nice pics Just wish these guys who graffiti walls draw an art rather than tags of their signatures or names..

  5. Sunset at la perouse
  6. Nice work ian I think with the tight headshots - it needs more fill and esp fill under the chin and nose. Guess you were just using normal flashes than strobes (so understandable). Just something i learnt from another photographer to do. With the 3rd last shot the focus is on her nose rather than the eyes. Maybe you were going for that, but im not to sure. Just thought i mention it. 1st shot is great!!
  7. Is the subject going to be still? If so just use a tripod for night time with a long exposure. Action shots - Day time or night time? If night time your lens will be hopeless. If day time - set your camera to tv mode and set the shutter speed between 1/60-1/250th. Depending on how much motion you want adjust to your liking. But honestly since its your first time just experiment. Go have some fun Before you do go, just remember what apeture, shutter speed, iso etc etc means.. and how to change them depending on the condition. Have fun
  8. Nice.. So what software you using to process the hdrs? One more:
