I think the best thing to do is go out for a random drive and start finding locations. Thats what i use to do Everything from car parks to beaches to locations in the city, to under bridges etc etc.. I think my fav spot is still at Sydney art gallery Here are a few examples from different places.. Just experiement and have fun taking photos - carparks - Art gallery etc etc.. just have some fun

So i just got back from a 2 month trip to Europe. Just been backpacking around etc.. Thought i share some photos and i hope you do like them.. Played with my friends 5d mark 2 just before i left London the other day Such an awesome camera and with an 24-70L lens it was damn good!! The quality from the camera+lens= WOW!!! Bought a 430ex2 yesterday so got a new toy now!!

I turned the long exposure noise reduction off, coz the memory card takes ages to load the picture.. or something like that.. i remember i had that issue few months back.. Anyways i have a feeling your lens has condensation on it. When you take a long exposure of star trails make sure you get a hair dryer and dry the lens if the lens is fogged up. Or take multiply shots.. Thats what i normally do with star trails!! I mean like 100 shots and merge them.. you seen my other star trails shots right?? Also hello from Lisbon!!! i should really start uploading my pictures of my Europe trip!! still got another 3 weeks to go lol
