  1. The pads already have it on both endges. Tried swapping them round in the caliper to. Got me buggered.
  2. Not squealing, just the grinding. Checked both sides out, no idea wat it is. Brakes work fine though.
  3. Did that to, is anyone using the hpx pads? May have gotten them a bit to hot to. Didnt think i was brakig to hard though.
  4. New pads and machined rotors. It'll be something stupid that ive missed.
  5. Cheers guys, will have another look tomorrow. Ive got QFM hpx pads, can anyone tell me which way they are meant to be installed? Different to the previous pads so i kinda took a stab..
  6. Hey all, just replaced the pads on my m35. At light braking pressure and low speeds im getting a slight grinding noise from the front left (i think?) Made sure everything went back on as i took it off. Slides arent sticking, greased them up. What have i done wrong..
  7. Yeap ill second that!! Was much less work than i imagined, couldve been done quicker if i wasnt constantly asking scott about everything stagea relates.. Cheers scotty
  8. Is it just the normal procedure? Drill the ends of the crack, gring it out and weld? Not that im doing it myseld just curious. Is reinforcing the subfram an option?
  9. Yerp welding seems to be the way. Got a few happy snaps, is this bad or am i making a mountain out of a mole hill?
  10. Its much easier said than done, if the last few years has taught me anything its that karma does catch up with you lol.. hopefuly he stubs his toe real bad!! I love conflict to but its my car and i want it on the road asap, dealing with it like many have said isnt gonna achieve that. Yep got onto the m35 bible with legs (scott), with any luck its sorted soon.
  11. Trust me i spent the whole morning ringing vicroads, vacc, consumer affairs even the dodgey prick that issued the rwc. Its a shit storm waiting to happen and i really cbf dealing with it. Its not the end of the world, swap the subframe, fix a few stupid issues get another roady bang, problem solved. Shit happens, assholes cause it!!
  12. It wasnt noticed. I only saw it because i had a flat in the rear. To the wheel off and its the first thing i saw.. spent all morning on the phone, just gonna swallow this bitter as f**k pill and fix it myself. Not letting the rwc workshop touch my car again.
  13. Not fussed about price, the car was issued a rwc wen it clearly wasnt roadworthy. Previous owner had no idea either. Small things werent done, cv boot and globes, was willing to let it slide because theyre easy fixes but after seeing the subframe this arvo im not even sure the workshop looked at the car. Front pads are cactus, discs are glazed, front right cv boot is completely torn, number plate globes werent replaced AAAND the subframe is cracked. Where do i go next? I want this all fixed, not by the workshop that issues the rwc and i dont want to pay a cent for the repairs..
  14. Nah wont bother welding it haha, found an engineering mob who can weld it and check it but would rather a new one. Does anyone know what a new subframe is worth??
  15. Is cracking of the rear subfram a common problem for our cars? Just changed the drivers side rear wheel and noticed a massive crack, just above the driveshaft. Same on the passenger side. Has anyone had this issue, if so, how much to replace the subframe?? Trying to get a hold of the previous owner but no luck. Will be contacting the RWC workshop asap.
  16. If there are any left scotty id like to grab one!! Afm that is...
  17. Are you registered on that forum? Seems like its the stag bible but i cant read it
  18. Ive tried to register on the m35info site several times with no success. Tried to email the admin to.. Anyone on here able to help me out??
  19. Also, summit racing has two kits for the RE5RO5A. http://www.summitracing.com/int/parts/trg-re5ro5a-hd2/overview/make/nissan http://www.summitracing.com/int/parts/trg-re5r05a-hd2/overview/make/nissan Wats the difference between the two? Transgo's website isnt helping me much in deciding which is best or more suited to my car..
  20. By stab the throttle you mean try and kick through the firewall lol?? Nah havent gotten that pissed at it yet, ill give it a shot though.
  21. Did you guys find that it improves kick down response at all??
  22. Where have fellow M35 owners in victoria had their shift kits installed? Or can it be tackled as a diy..? Found the shift kit just not sure who to trust installing it. Wholesale autos wanted $1000+ for the kit and install, seems a bit exxy..
  23. You seem really keen on upgradig the stock dump scott, cant imagine why haha.. but yeh ive seen a std one, pretty laughable. Yes. Just a baseline figure. For now...... Is an emanage the best way to go in terms of tuning?
  24. 16psi sounds fun.. Much point doing all this with the stock exhaust system? Id like to get a dyno run, make sure all is okay before upping the power. Does Cihan do just dyno runs? Not up to tuning jusy yet. And does he have a contact number??
