  1. Nice work I got a 100k service coming up and live in newcastle so this should help save me some money.
  2. Excuse my ignorance but why is the rb26 abe to produce so much more power down low compared to the rb25. Obviously it has the extra 100ml capacity but is that enough to get such a large increase in power in the low rev range? Cheers
  3. Found this on another forum. Have a read article
  4. Hey Dave pm me about your defect. I was done not that long ago i know what its like.
  5. Apparently that stuff you were talking about the pump bottle stuff that makes the number plate to bright to see can be by passed. All they have to do is drop the picture back to a negative to get your plate. Well thats what i have read somewhere.
  6. I got a stock air box u can borrow but im located in newcastle. pm if ur interested
  7. The shop can tune it in one day but if you take it home straight away it may not cold start properly. They need to leave it over night to let the engine cool down completely. It will also depend how modified your car is and what you want done that will determine how long it will take to tune. But if its pretty basic tune not too many mods (like my car) the shop normally quote about 6 hrs give or take.
  8. It may seem a bit simple but is your park light switch on. The one in the centre console just next to handbrake or behind the gear lever. I had the same problem turns out one of my mates switched it on.
  9. Is the 1j really able to put out 700 hp on stock internals? I shouldnt really be surprised but that is a lot. How reliable will that be. How does a 2j go comapred to a 1j how hp can they put out on stock internals?
  10. Do you have the manual? If not there is an American Apexi website that has it on there. It helped me out when i had probelms with it.
  11. Easy there should be 2 bolts holdong it on to the intake pipe a little bit before the throttle body. Undo them and the pipe that leads back into the intake.. Dont know where to get plugs from.
  12. I have one of these boxes and fits with no problems at all. Depends on the intercooler piping mine goes throught the right wheel arc and behind the radiator.
  13. I had changed my fuel pump a few months ago and checked that it was screwed on tightly but it may have been removed by my tuner as he wanted to check to voltage at the pump. But this was weeks ago and havent had a problem like this before. Still i will check it is done up tightly. But if it did leak wouldnt it leak into the boot? Also i only just filled up my tank fully yesterday (done alot of driving) and had no problem and just filled up today and suddenly this.
  14. Is the filler neck housing the hole under the opening for the fuel nozzle? If it is im pretty sure that i didnt spill any fuel when filling up. I will deffinately be keeping an eye on it though.
  15. Hi guys. Just filled up my car (r33 gtst) at the servo went to pay and when i came back i noticed that there was a small puddle of fuel under my car unsure where it was dripping from as the were multiple places where it was dripping from. But safe to say near the fuel tank area. So i was wondering does the car have an overflow system of some sort as i filled it up competely or is it a more serious problem. Also when i got home it was completely dry around the area and hasnt been leaking. Cheers
