  1. I always like to let people know what I'm working with before I start my description. I have a 1995 S14 with a Series I RB25DET. My power goals for this project is 350hp/260kw at the wheels. I was wondering if anyone was has tried or is using the following product: http://www.ebay.com/itm/AEM-FIC-6-Programmable-ECU-R33-R34-GTS-T-GT-T-350Z-RB25DET-RB26DETT-Power-FC-/171350161076?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item27e543f6b4&vxp=mtr? I have the supporting mods necessary to make that kind of power well everything but the ECU Tune. Please know that you comments are greatly appreciated.
  2. Ben C34's description is correct. I search for a while never finding what I was looking for which is why I asked the questions. Sometimes you just can't find what you need so you ask for a little help from the people that should know. Well at least now I know the best thing to do. Thanks for the helpful suggestions.
  3. Yeah looks like I found a shop that will modify the elbow that I have so that the steering shaft will not make contact with the exhaust.
  4. Thanks for the info. Might you have a pic or a link to the 90 degree silicon elbow.
  5. I hope that I am posting this in the proper location, if not I apologize ahead of time. So I was looking for a new/different turbo to put on my RB25DET power S14 Left hand drive as I'm in the states. All of this is being done to overcome some issues with the turbo elbow and the currently installed turbo. So I was on eBay and saw the following: www.ebay.com/itm/251078425474?ssPageName=STRK:MESINDXX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1436.l2649. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this turbo or the company selling it? I think I might just have to go to a shop that can make a turbo elbow to address the issue. Thanks in advance for helpful responses.
  6. Awesome! Thank you very much for that information.
  7. Sorry if I have posted this in the wrong location. I'm new to this forum and to the work of the RB25DET. I happen to have a 1995 S14 with a Series I RB25DET and I want to put in a few extra gauges specifically a temp gauge. On the coolant pipe going to the radiator there are two sensors/probes and I wanted to remove one and put in the sensor/probe for the Autometer Temp Gauge that I have. Does anyone know if I can remove one of those without causing the ECU to think that there is a problem? I just don't want to cause a problem just because I'm trying to install a temp gauge. Than you in advance for your assistance.

  17. Sad part is none of the Nissan dealerships I have access to say that they can get any Nissan Original Parts for and RB. I have options but they all equal me spending $400-$500. That is what I get for going with the RB vs the SR. My goal is not high (350 rwhp) so stock ones will do the trick. Thanks guys I'll source a set and go with those. Would you still add a spark amplifier once you get that or not needed at that point? And thank you everyone for answering my noobie type questions.
  18. I hear you on that. A good friend of mine now has an RB26 and is going with the LSX coil packs for his ride. He gave me the RB26 coil packs in trade for an busted ka24de engine block. I'm going to have to save up a bit more before I can get some new ones (this summer). This is my first RB so I'm trying to do my homework, ask the right people the right questions and then do what is right for my ride.
  19. I seem to have a slight misfire under hard acceleration from low rpm. If i accelerate normally than everything seems to be fine. I'm going to be running some test of the coil packs when it gets a bit warmer, it snowed here in Atlanta, GA (USA). I will be working to confirm that it is a misfire. I have a set of RB26 coil packs that I'm going to make sure a cleaned up in top notch shape. I have seen some things on applying liquid tape to them and wrapping the extensions with electrical tape to keep them form grounding out. Also the car seems to have a bad idle after getting to operating temp. I think that may just be poor idle setting or tune. I will be checking into that also. I did not think to state that the RB25DET is swapped into a 1995 240sx S14. I guess my thinking was to optimize spark for smoother running motor by really making sure the fuel gets burned well.
  20. If anything what are you using to amplify/boost the spark in your RB. I have an RB25DET with stock coil packs (have a newer set of RB26DET coil packs to replace them with) but I want to get maximum spark. So I’m researching what has already been done so that I can choose the best option for me. Thank you in advance for your suggestions.
