  1. On the R32 the antennae are the fine wires in the front and rear windscreen. Is your Pioneer deck an aussie or jap model? The jap models only pick up a few aussie stations as the bandwidths overlap a bit. If it's a jap deck you could have a bandwidth shifter fitted. If it's an aussie model then it may not have been fitted correctly. I think there is an antenna booster in the boot of some if not all R32s. I've been told the black and red wire, that is taped to the antenna coax that plugs into the back of the deck, needs to be wired to the power antenna (blue) wire that comes out of the deck so the booster can get 12 volts. When the factory deck is replaced with an aftermarket deck you need an adapter plug. The factory plug has 2 pins and the a/m deck only uses the pin from the rear windscreen. One suitable adapter on the market is Aerpro AP348A. I hope that helps.
  2. I'm looking for a suitable intercooler for my R32. I want around 200rwkws when all my mods are finished. One shop recommended a 600wx250h tube and fin i/c to use with the std piping. How effective are intercoolers with top and bottom tanks and inlet and outlet on the same side compared with the regular crossflow type of a similar size? Does the inlet tank need a divider to take half the charge to the far side of the i/c? What power can be made before the stock i/c piping becomes restrictive?
  3. I've owned a 4 door R32 for a couple of years. Anything that is in common with the coupe is available at a reasonable price. From my experience import wreckers can supply most bolt on sedan panels but the interior trim parts that differ from the coupe are very hard to come by. This is because they disassemble (chop up) the cars in Japan and couldn't be bothered removing the trim.
