Cefiro Adr Approved Seatbelts Wanted
Mr Eps replied to cefilo's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
erm... ok dude... here's the score... i have RECENTLY got my cefiro over the pits in WA which i'm sure you think is irrelevant but i can guarantee you your engineer is feeding you horse poop cefiro standard seatbelts ARE adr approved based on their hydraulic retention system. phone up the ADR agency, they'll point you in the right direction. to the best of my knowledge to this date there is nothing non ADR about your seatbelts rather than chasing your tail trying to get seatbelts that (trust me) don't exsist. get in touch with your licensing dept in your state, ask to speak to the "tech" dept. ask them with regards to cefiro seatbelt compliance, they will either have an answer for your or will be able to help you with this further the reason i'm knowledgable in this matter is because the "pit" inspector told me all about this how the nissan cefiro is one of the only japanese imports that HAS seatbelts that ARE adr approved, because they operate on a different system. think of it this way, your car is trying to impress a governing body. your engineer is a third party in this matter, what he says is not the be all and end all. i'm sure he/she means well by changing the seatbelts and this is merely a case of them assuming every seatbelt needs to be changed however with the a31 nissan cefiro to the best of my knowledge this is not the case, please foolow up this matter with your governing body before trying to go down this thankless and expensive and labour intense task. i'm not guaranteeing you success here i'm just speaking from recent experience =) -
well yeah the aids is rampant fully,,,
-
no that would have just been a badge homey there's no compliance for them unless they're a private import in which case why would you bother unless you have the aids

Want To See Where You Rims Sit With Size And Offset ! (a31)

only just outside the guards a lil just a lil... -
this is honestly the most pointless thread i've seen in a long time it has me tearing my hair out at my desk hey none of you own or will own a GT-R. prove me wrong if you like, but the truth is the cookie hath crumbled they way NISSAN (the people who build and sell the car) WANT it to. not what YOU want. and NO the GT-R will not deprciate that much over the next few years,. that's not what it's for. tho whoever said that nissan doesn't want r32/3/4owners into the R35 well done, right on the money! to ian, you're right in SOME aspects of raws being created to "monopolise" n bla bla bla and funky you're right aswell i mean you're not RIGHT but your both not wrong the truth is, that the government tried to clean up the import act by creating a better service for customers ie: trying to make the cars safer for australian roads and for many other reasons it's a great idea on paper however private industry makes it hard for the matter to be governed and unfortunately certain workshops don't carry out the work they claim they do... which is unfortunate cos it completely negates the purpose of upgrading the ruels in the first place... my hat goes off to the guys that are doing the right thing though...
-
actually no they'd just rip it off and not have to deal with the subsequent $5000 fine that the wa law puts on you for tampering with the sticker ...yuck... what WOULD be good is to that the ECU scrambling devie that the US cops have (or at least i THINK that exsists...) from my understanding you simply wave it over the car n it disables all electrics or the ecu or something, they had it in 2f2f ...so it's GOTTA be real... i think tonight i'm gonna stay in n watch fnf / 2f2f... haha

this sounds like an official wack attack. did you call shenanigans?

being that it's a japanese car, and a japanese adaptation of the greek god zephyrus (or watever - thx for that one funky=) anyway being a japanese word TECHNICALLY it'd be pronounced se-fi-roh with no... what's the word, "prominent" or "drawn" syllables like not sef - eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee- row sefiroh BUT we're in australia, so it's pronounced sef ee row cos that's the way we were raised to talk like

my advice is unless you want to shit a suspect black liquid the next day stay away from the margarita mix n use lemon juicethat guervo mix has some NASTY foreign preservatives in it that straight turn you inside out hey... and the salt goes on the rim of the glass, the drink was created for a spanish opera singer who didn't want to drink lick sip suck when in mexico.. so they made all three haha but yer, the brown jose, triple sec, lemon juice, ice, SHAKE and STRAIN (blend if you're a poof and want to drink frozen) (jk keets) also, for SWEET cocktails toblerone is awsome and good liquid panty remover from memory shot Frangelico (hazelnut liqueur) shot Kahlua shot Baileys Irish cream 2 nips fresh cream ice blend dust with shaved chocolate and cosmopolitan is a favourite is people everywhere, vodka triple sec lime juice cranberry juice shake strain over ice also in a shot glas bit of Midori bit of advocaat bit of baileys on top few drops of grenadine this will impress ppl if u do it right put the midori in the bottom of the glass turn a spoon upside down and pour the advocaat over the back to make some sort of a fountain kinda dealy, this will make it so the two "layer" then do the same with the baileys with the grenadine (or if ur povo) red cordial just put two drops in to make it look like blood this is called "squashed frog" and it's REALLY beautiful but there's also one called "hard on" but i can't find the recipe, too scared to google it... but i had it at the reunion club in bali... got really hammered that night... enjoy! i suggest the toblerone and the squashed frog though, if you add the cosmo into the mix of the "creamy" drinks you might get sick...

now that is a man's car!
-
contact the DPI man, there is ther only way to know for sure, they'll probably have to research n get back to you. ask to speak to the technical department, they'll know if you can "get away" with it or not but regardless, if you get pulled over by police, and they deem it as illegal they give you the yellow sticker within their rights and you still have to get the car inspected, which is still a pain in the butt

i was kidding and u can do 13.5 down the quarter in a corolla.. ... but you're in a corolla... hahaha
-

actually i did work for the DPI up till a few months back when i was put onto another assignment i didn't want to sound like a boorish oaf even tho that is what i came across like, i owe you guys an apology no doubt... i'm incredibly on edge after i caught my missus (now ex) doing something she probably regrets now over the weekend. NO dpi is appointment only, that's policy. it has to stay that way until review in june 08 that said, and as previously stated, they are running booking trials there is a possiblity they were full booked therefore couldn't take walk ins so it is wise to get a booking. as i said, be wise, ring them, make sure u help them out. the reason they might not look busy is cos they are booked tho, meaning people aren't lining up it's a lot harder on inspectors now because now they HAVE GOT to do a massive inspection, and police are just sending any old thing thru, this chokes up the system, and because the wages budget is so tight they won't put more staff on therefore it just gets to be a more n more choked up system that said, they all cbf being too harsh now so they can be pretty lenient
-
dude please don't listen to everyone throwing the 2 cents in on this matter they do NOT work for the DPI; albeit they all make good points, but largely you guys don't work for the DPI and are feeding you rumours. midland is NOT and will NEVER BE appointment only. the DPI are running a trial where owners have the choice to make an appointment, it is not mandatory. as far as taking your car over the pits. use your brain, make it so that your car IS roadworthy. wind your coilovers up, try to get your cat sorted, if you have no cat, your car can be de-reg immediately, (might not happen but they CAN do that) running no cat is just dumb for the environment dude, they're there for a reason. as for oil leaks, before you take it to the pits try to clean them up so it's not that obvious but most important of all, do not hold the notion that the DPI work in line with the police force. a police officer's opinion is not the FACTS that the DPI know. your best bet, and most official way to go about it. is take your car over the pits in the first place, inform them that a police officer has given you an intermediate work order, but you would like a proper inspection and diagnosis first up so you know what needs work, who knows. you might actually save yourself some time in the long run. the inspection now costs $80 as your car is over 7 years old and it is in requirement of a full inspection, this takes a little longer and the inspector will check everything in accordance, yes it's more expensive than it was 4 years ago, this is because for years DPI was charging $40 for inspections when RAC were charging 80, they have put their prices up to be in line with the RAC to slow the demand on the DPI. best of luck to you, but seriously, if a cop says raise your car, and it's already of legal height, why would you bother? this is why it's wise to go to the DPI first up, so that you KNOW what needs to be done.

just be reminded no hoon behaviour will be tolerated this includes putting it into a low gear at high speed to make your car rev lots attempting to do burnouts but failing due to lack of power attempting to power over drift but understeering into the curb last but not least attemping to make "whoosh" sounds with your mouth upon gear changes kthx
