  1. If i read this correctly... im guessing you didn't have any help when bleeding the clutch. In other words i will point out that when you open that bleeder screw, unless pressure is being applied to the pedal, you are allowing air pockets to take up space in the line. You may have had an air bubble in the system before, but now you've released any pressure that was left.
  2. i guess i could have worded that a little differently, my appologies. I'm asking how thick the total clutch disc thickness should be....my last clutch only lasted me 1500 km's. The last clutch was out of a Nissan Fairlady(300zx) brand new. This time i plan on having the old GTR clutch re-lined with ceramic. ps. already searched for 2 hours on this site, no luck. cheers
  3. if only that made sense to me, it may have been helpful... 1000 what?
  4. Does anyone happen to know what this... please and thanks for the help
  5. could have something to do with your Hicas pump primimg itself. there are lines running up to the rear of the tranny. my r32 does this for about 10 seconds, and then reprimes every 6-8 seconds after that, i dont worry about it could be a loose bolt on one of your hicas lines, or quite possibly a warning your fuel pump is about to pack it in.... i'd recommend sliding underneathg your car to figure out exactly where this 'buzzing' is coming from
  6. this has been a sporatic problem over the last month or so. When the car is 'cold' in the morning the 4WD light stays OFF, until i drive it hard in a low gear. When the car has heated up, the probability of this light coming ON along with the power loss, increases. i tried to bleed the screw mounted on the rear of the transmission, at first, no fluid came out, second attempt (after restarting), some fluid came out, third attempt it came out in a larger volume. i will try jacking the car up tommorrow to attempt the pump bleeder. any ideas on running new fluid throughout the system? Example 1. Filling reservoir 2" too full 2. Turning ignition to ON position 3. Opening Pump mounted bleeder screw. (until fresh fluid comes out) 4. Close bleeder .....5. Repeat procedure for transmission mounted bleeder the service manual doesnt have the order of operations I greatly appreciate the input guys! (Blind_Elk and Steve)
  7. when my car gets hot or i give it a fair amount of boost, the 4WD warning light comes on....it will go off if i let the car cool down for 45 minutes or an hour. I read somewhere that this means my power steering fluid is boiling as the fluid is too low, however i just topped it up this morning and, no change....and that includes the rear reservoir too. sorry if this has been discussed before, but i cant find it? thanks
