  1. Hello, trying to find a 12V motor details are as follows: DC Motor DME34BF-X776 12VDC 3700 r/min No. 0325 JAPAN SERVO CO. LTD. I've tried Dick Smith, Jaycar, Model toy shops etc with no luck. Much appreciated if anyone knows where I could get one of these. Thankyou
  2. G'day R31Nismoid, just wondering why you were so quick to say no, can you see a problem with this that wouldn't work? Thankyou.
  3. Cool, do you know where I could find out some more info on this? I'd be curious to find out whether the motor dis-engages when the exhaust takes over (maybe a small clutch) or just free-wheels.
  4. -what I was asking is that could a 12 Volt motor drive the turbo to get it spinning quicker than the exhaust can at low revs? - being 12 Volt the power to run it would come from the battery.
  5. OK, I don't know a lot about turbo engines yet but am endeavouring to learn, so go easy. Obviously lag is a disadvantage on a turbo engine, why hasn't anyone come up with something to get the turbo spinning sooner - something like a 12Volt electric or hydraulic motor to keep it spinning until the exhaust takes over? Feasible or not? Thankyou
  6. do the fuel gauge and oil pressure work?
  7. How do you convert it to 240V? Do you just put a different motor on, or can you convert a 3 phase motor to single phase?
  8. G'day Linton, rang repco in Wagga today and they said they don't do any hoists, do you know any other places where I could get info on these? Thankyou.
  9. Hey Ferni, I'd be interested to get some info/brochures etc off your old man on the different types if he's interested in selling one. Obviously a single phase won't have the grunt of a 3 phase, but should lift 3 tonne comfortably? which will be more than enough. Anyway if he's interested PM me for my postal address. It won't be for at least 3 months as it's going to take 10 weeks before the shed is finished. Cheers
  10. How old are your hoists? Price isn't really an issue (well I mean it is,) but I'd rather pay more $$ for a really good quality one than skimp and get crap.
  11. Cheers, yeah I was budgeting on around $5k-ish. Low arms will be important to, as my 33 is fairly low. Anyone else??
  12. Does anyone have a hoist in their shed or can recommend good (or bad) brands. Looking to buy a clear floor 2 post (240V) Thankyou
  13. What size hose is it? You can get a cheap non-drip valve (about $10) that goes straight in the line, simply cut the hose and push onto hose barbs. They are just simply a small diaphragm with a spring behind them, when you turn the pump on they open (at .7bar) when you turn the pump off the spring pushes on the diaphragm, seating it and cutting your flow. Let me know if you want one.
  14. So my question is.. can I remove it and replace it myself? Is it hard to do? -Not if you can undo 2 nuts. - Undo them, take the strut brace out, remove battery, put new battery back in, put strut brace back in place and do the two bolts up tight again.
  15. ..Any contacts for GT-R branded seat covers beside UAS?
  16. -Thanks for that, will give it a try tonight
  17. -Yeah, battery level is fine and amp is turning off with ignition. I pulled everything apart yesterday and hooked it all back up again, see what happens this time.
  18. -seems to be the case, took it for a real short drive and it ran like shit (driving like miss daisy because I thought the Power fc may have lost its memory or something) as I drive it more and a bit harder it seems to be getting back to normal.
  19. -Installed a JL Audio sub (10") a few months ago, since the day I installed it I haven't driven the car. Went to start the car yesterday and it was flat as a tack. I've previously left the car for similar periods of time and never had a problem. Just wondering if I've done something wrong? The amp is an audison not sure which model, it had outputs for a sub - simply marked + and - . Obviously I ran cable from these to the red and back terminals on the sub. Cable is fairly heavy, not sure what gauge etc, but thick enough that you could only just fit it into the terminals on the sub. Any clues? Thankyou
  20. -don't know, but yesterday after I used jumper leads to start my car it was running rich as all hell, car had been sitting unstarted for probably 3 months, drove it around for about 1/2 hour and is still running like shit? - was perfect before. When I jump started it i had the other car turned off which can help avoid a power spike, it didn't have enough grunt to fire it up, so I then started the other car and let it run for a while, it then started fine.
  21. --ha ha, good job you mentioned that - I had that in mind for a bit of a thrill!
  22. Cheers, thanks very much for that.
  23. My battery is flat on my R33 GTR, with a power fc. can I use jumper leads to start it or should I take the battery out and put it on a charger? Thankyou
  24. because I am in Wagga. I have a friend in Melbourne for the weekend and need them to bring a part home for me.
