  1. dam that carbon bonnet looks good. im after the same nismo style one but cant find one anywhere, and the eyelids in cf too. ohh and abobob ur 34 looks great.
  2. you would be able to make one up your self pretty easy. use ur old one as a template.
  3. J-SPEC sell them, i got a set of skirts and rear bar for my old r33.
  4. you might have to pull out the air con vents above the climate controls. it may have fell down behind there, failing that you may also have to remove the climat controls and the radio. it could have fallen down that far but i don't think so... or it simply doesnt have the plug there cause it dint need it in the loom at time of manufacture.
  5. i found NRMA to be the cheapest for ctp, that is if ur over 25 and MUST provide proof of full comprehensive insurance i think i paid $328 by memory... thanks.
  6. dont forget the inside of the pipe will be rusty too...
  7. mate first of all ur prob putting the coats on too thick. u have to let it dry between coats. try doing a couple of thin coats, then let it dry properly.
  8. is it 3'' inlet? or tail end? how long is it? how much to post to sydney? thanks Justin
  9. hi guys as i mentioned in this thread before, my mrs works for the EPA (DEC). i asked her to ask one of the guys that works in the automotive section about cats. he says "on the spot fine is $3,000. You then have to go to court, and its up to the judge to decide what happens next (you can be fine more). the record amount for an individual fine is $22,000." when asked how many ppl have been fined on the spot he says "too many to count." have to ask your self is having a guttered cat really worth a fine of a minimum $3,000? i really dont think its worth the couple extra kws, if that! thanks Justin.
  10. it definetly comes up from the right hand side. not sure where the looms meet up though. hope this leads you in the right direction.
  11. cant mount them anymore forward cause i still want them to sit behind the factory plastic lens.
  12. hi guys sorry it took a while to get a pic of the back of the unit, ive been heaps busy. anyway here are the pics of the back of the unit.....
  13. i will get her to get me some info tomorrow, on how many ppl have been fined(if possible) and the average amount.
  14. My mrs works for the EPA (DEC) she says that $10000 fine sounds about right, she does work in a diferent section but says the automotive guys can do an emissions test on the spot or local rta to tell if you have a legal cat or not.
  15. i only drive the car on the weekends, and hardly ever rev it to 7000rpm(which is what the shift light is set at). the only real time i rev it to that is a the dragstrip.
  16. yeah the gauges are definetly 2 inch diameter, i think the bezel around the speco gauges are pretty small compared to some other gauges. i only just had room to fit the plastic lens back on, prob only a mm to spare.
  17. anyone know a company that chromes plastic?
  18. ahhh good idea....
  19. true oil temp is more important, but harder to wire up. i may end up moving the shift light some where else(surgestions anyone?) and put another gauge(oil temp) where the shift light is at the moment. main reson for changing the cluster was to have a boost gauge capable of reading more than 1bar and to also have a PSI gauge. i would have loved to put some better gauges in ie. defi but i just dont see the value for money. thanks Justin
  20. yes they are behind the lens. Thanks Justin
  21. will take a pic tommorow for you. thanks Justin
  22. i got a speco gauge to replace my factory boost gauge and the factory one was spoy on.
  23. hey guys, i got a little bored today so i went to the local auto parts store picked up some 2'' gauges (volts and boost) and a shift light, and decided to replace the triple gauge cluster. took the cluster apart and removed the old gauges, the new 2'' gauges fitted in the factory holes easy with no cutting required, i just had to make a face plate up for the shift light. pretty easy low cost mod for those people interested. thanks Justin
  24. hi guys interested in your comments on the grill badge on r34, look better with it on or with it off? thanks Justin
