  1. Guys,

I have a Trust Copy Fibreglass bar.

Unpainted in "ready to paint" condition. ie..Its white and has been prepped.

Has small amount of damage as I drove it for a couple of weeks...

The reason why I am looking for interest in a swap is because it sits too low for my 33.

It suits a Series 1. Fits fine on my car.

    Pictures...

The only picture I have is the picture on the Jetspeed site...

    http://www.jetspeed.com.au/showModel.php?id=1301

The bar is the same as that one.

If anyone is looking at changing bars or knows someone who has one etc..

    Please let me know.

    Thanks,

    Paul

  2. Fracture + a very very tight belt?

Yea, I was thinking that perhaps the belt was tentioned far to much and stressing the pump to much...

But you would have to be Hercules to do it that tight and not realise?

Im thinking that what may have happened is that the shaft was slightly damaged in the accident and it has grabbed on my way home. Im sure that even at 4k RPM it would be easier to snap that than to free itself up....

Hmmm, all speculation... I just really need it fixed.

  3. You grandmothers!!! Is this the CWA website or the SAU one??? Economy.... bleh

BAAHA HA HA HA HA HA

Seiously though, it would be good to get a little more km's to a tank...

Im getting 350, sometimes I will push it to 400 (end of month) when funds are looowww....But I hate that.

About $60.00 to fill these days. BP Ultimate only though.

  4. Does Trojan do rego inspections??

I need HEAPS of work done...When I get the car back from the Smashies, I need to get Rear brakes, Service, Box Oil, New Pod Filter, New GT Intercooler supplied and fitted....Bit of things t o do...

I also *may* need to borrow a M-Spec front bar or something...I have a Trust Copy at the moment, and its waaay too low.

  5. Hey all,

Long time since I have been on, buts its been a long time since I have really had the car back.

Long story short, I was in an accident in Late November, I got the car back after 3 months....

Ive had the car back for *about* 3months.

So today on my way home from work my entire Water Pump Housing cracked off and sent the fan partially through my brand new radiator!

Oh so annoying. Anyway, tomorrow I will find out if the Smash Repairers will fit the bill cause they obviously didnt replace the water pump even though it had been hit/damaged from my front on accident.

Im guessing there was a hairline fracture or something.

    Here are the pics...

  6. Unless i have the car here to test myself i cant tell for sure , noony is not describing it well and it sounds like his mechanical knowledge is very limited .

noony , if the clutch slips or not it has nothing to do with selecting gears .

When you push the clutch to the floor it shouldn't touch the flywheel or the pressure plate .

Do you even understand the problem...

And as for jumping to conclusions about my mechanical knowledge..."very limited"...right....

    Double Clutching...

Wat is there to get wrong?

I start the car, its still in neutral from when I stopped the car. The input shaft is spinning already, the box is matched to the speed of the flywheel....What the hell is there to double clutch!!

Clutch in, Push gear to 1st...crunch...ok...try again....

Back to neutral, clutch out, clutch in, push to first.....crunch....

I will be adjusting the clutch end of next week when I get the car back from the Spray Booth. I will let you know how it goes.

  7. yeah, I call them all spiggot bearings. You get the general idea.

But I think you are missing the whole point of this guys problem. Maybe I'm wrong but I don't think his problem is that he can't select first at 80km's/hour. His problem is while not moving at all it crunches.

    EXACTLY!

It wont go into 1st gear easily while stopped. It actually is quite forceful if you try and slam it in.

Theres no revs to match...Because Im not moving..>The car is idling at most. Even if I play with the revs a little, it still crunches.

Synchros most likely problem...? So I should just take it to a 'box' place?

The problem with box places is that all my friends who have gone to them have basically just ended up buying a whole new box when there old box was not that bad anyway.

Anyone reccommend someone in the ACT region?

  8. Some more details always helps.

Does it crunch while completely stopped?

Does it do it just coming out of reverse?

Does it do it while rolling?

If you pump the clutch a couple of times does it crunch then?

How often does it do it...all the time, sometimes?

Is it HARD to shift or does it just crunch?

How long has it been happening.

Does it do it from cold?

Does it do it when hot?

    How loud?

What is the condition of the oil?

    Have you even checked that?

    Why not?

How old is the shift kit?

Did it only happen just after the kit was fitted?

    Well...

I Bought the car in October. It was doing a fraction of the time then. I mean fraction.

Now...It does it 80% of the time.

Hot, Cold, Stopped, Rolling(although less when rolling...ie move a bit in 2nd then put into 1st..sweet).

    Double, triple clutch..Still cruncch..

Its fairly loud...It actually hurts my wrist if I try and force it in...

It had a FULL service in November, 3 weeks after buying it. The service says that box oil was changed. They are a reputable importer/tuner.

Shift kit cant be that old, I found the Nismo instructions in the Glove Box...Maybe 12 months old (guessing).

The car has 93thou on it.

    Thanks guys.

  9. Guys,

Am just trying to figure out if my box is stuffed, clutch problem or if its to do with the Nismo short shift kit needing adjustment.

What is the most likely problem?

I dont believe the clutch slips at all, until high load etc...

The box feels strong in all gears and doesnt make any strange noises...Other than the crunching into First. (makes for a great excuse for second gear burnouts..LOL).

    Any suggestions is greatly appreciated.

  10. WELL!!

So much for being new and excited about actually owning a skyline.

Late November (not 2 months after buying a red 33)...5 Days before my wedding...,

I was driving to work down past kaleen high towards the lights on ginninderra drive.... Through some crazy lane changing I ended up being involved in an accident....

Still waiting for the car to come back, but things are looking good!

So far (as all accidents) i have ended up spending more money than i was going to and am getting it fully re-sprayed...Should be sweet!

I really am excited and cant wait to see it again...Last time I saw it she was customised (about 1 1/2 feet shorter) and damn dirty as hell!!

Anyways, my insurance company (Famous) has been tremendous!

Would love to catch up with you guys when im back in action!

  11. Guys,

I have a 93 R33 with adjustable at the front and chopped springs (about to change) at the rear.

When I drive for aproximately 30kms (sometimes less) the HICAS light comes on and doesnt turn off until I turn off the car. The light isnt on when I start the car again.

    Any pointers??

    Thanks

  12. Im wondering what the majority of Skyline owners have got the air correction set to when on full open throttle?

From what I can tell mine is on 5.

I *think* I have heard that others have got theres on around 10??

Im yet to call the tuners and talk to them about my current problems, I wanted to have a better understanding before I call them. I did download the English manual for the SAFC2 though. Makes a lot more sense than the Jap one I was reading...LOL

    Paul

  13. Guys,

I only have 1 car key for my new line and I am wanting to (obviously) get one or two more.

I am trying to find some groovy nissan keys (not ones that say GTR...) that are suitable for my GTST. The key i have at the moment is pretty ordinary!

Can anyone point me in the right direction? Even if Nissan can get me a cool new Nissan/Skyline key.

I have looked on Ebay already.

    Thanx Peoples!

  14. Hi, the current model of SAFC11 has two throttle position programs, they are programable, but usually set with one for under 70% and one for over 70%. It would seem that your tuner has only tuned for over 70%. If he uses the under 70% range he can tune at the low rpm ranges to fix that problem. This will not affect over 70% throttle settings or high rpm.

Does that also mean that I wont actually notice any difference with fuel consumption?

Cause my last tank of fuel I only got 250kms....(i was heavily strapping it) Plus it smells a little fuely on idle, so i wanted the safc to lean it out so it wasnt soooo rich.
