    Get the SAFC tuned on a dyno, you can even do it yourself, i do. With the stock cooler i was pulling 18% of fuel out at the top end, but with the installation of the FMIC, its now down to about -12% at the top end.

    and how did you figure this out? I'm shit scared of making her detonate. My approach was to lean out gradually then swith to the knock monitor, but surely thats dodgy? besides its hard to tell what knock reading is bad, it sits around 40 or 50 normally i think but will sometimes hit 200. I cant wait to get mine on the dyno now, just gotta get new pump in.

    I am interested to know this standard knock as well...

    The only time i get any knock figures showing on the SAFCII is when its warm and idling. It shows upto 5 sometimes...Whatever that means?

    Mine got installed and tuned yesterday 194kw's. With FMIC and K&N Pod. On 12psi.

    I'm not sure how much its leaning out.

    Also, this morning im experiencing problems with idle when cold now. (only since the SAFC was installed).

    It doesnt kick the idle up to the 1200 or so that it did when the car is cold. It was struggling to even stay running, spitting and coughing actually.

    I couldnt even get it to hold a steady 1100rpm idle by using the accelerator?? It would just peak to 2000 then back to 600...Once it was warm the throttle responded as per normal??

    Weird.

  2. I just called the Registry and spoke to a young lady.

    She was very helpful. Informed me that I DO NOT need to go over Dickson. Any authorised inspection station is fine.

    This was because the vehicle has been australian complianced and registered in another state already.

    She was quite clear about it.

    I wonder if it has something to do with the vehicle being more the 10 years old??

    Interesting that you all had to go over Dickson.

    Could I ask what mods you have on your line?? I am just keen to know how much power this puppy will put out after the safc is installed...Currently my line only has a FMIC a nismo short shift kit and a hks EVC...(which is playing up...hopefully EVO will reconfigure that thing), it also has a cat back 3inch..

    Im new to the Line scene.

    Bought a burgundy 33 on saturday. I was booked into EVO for tomorrow to have an SAFC fitted, dynotuned and rego inspected.

    But from the sounds of what you all are saying i shouldnt take it in.

    Where can i go locally to purchase an SAFC and have it dyno tuned and rego inspected.
