Hey guys, thanks for all your replies, well i was right to be suspicious, when we pulled out the bulbs, they were twin filament type which is ok. but what the previous owner has done ( probably japanese) has taken the bulbs out and got some duct tape, cut little squares and taped up the connection on the end of the bulb that makes the taillights work. but he left the brake light one so it would work. wierd huh? anyway taillights all work now.

Hey guys, I have recently purchased a R33 GTR, and in my pics, u will see when i have the headlights turned on, only the 2 outter taillights light up? Is this normal, or has somebody tampered with the bulbs, or is there a fuse or something that is blown making these lights not light up both lights on either side? i havent had a chance to check if there is actually bulbs in these lights yet, they might have been removed for some reason. anyhow if anybody can let me know if all 4 taillights light up on there gtr, that would be great. i know they used to on my gtst, thats what made me wonder...

I'm not sure, for the price u have quoted on here, u might get kit installed and have it painted but for a full respray you'll find it alot more expensive then that unless you know somebody who will do you mates rates.If your paint is still in good condition and isnt faded or clear coat peeling or anything, id advise for you to go get a meguirs' clay bar and quik detailer kit and use that on your paint, i recently did it on a car and it came up 100 times better, then i did a polish like normal on the car all over. it takes a full day when u first do it but its wrth the results for your efforts. P.S. (dont use the clay bar directly on your paint work without lubricating first with quik detailer before you rub the paint.)

ok, il have to check the rear lights. but yeah i was sure they both lit up on both sides when lights were on. Thanks for all the alarm suggestions. still doing some research to see what im after.

Hey man, i had my plates stolen a few years back, i know who did it, but thats besides the point. anyway i reported it to cops and had to fork out for another set of plates. what the police did was nothing, and just put a flag on my plates as "STOLEN" so for the next 3 years when driving round, id get pulled up for no reason coz the plates were flagged and harassed by the cops, after a while i got sick of it and blew up at the cops told them i wanted him to go back to the station and remove the flag from my plates, as it was bullshit. I havent been picked on since. i know your pain man, its a pain in the arse, the only thing you can do is pay for replacement plates and get some good secirty screws on there. but if they ripped them off, not alot is going to stop them taking them. being where u live man, i can bet it was some drunk wankers walking home from the clubs or something. thats the usuall story behind it. i can garauntee that they will either be up on somebodys wall as an ornament or disposed of down the road soemwhere in a bush or bin. il keep an ear out anyway for you, but unless police actually go into the place for some other reason and find your plates in there, then i dont like your chances of getting them back. ok thanks chris. the two inner rear lights on my 33 arent working, are they on separate fuse or something or just not hooked up?

are they different on 33 gtst, the tail lights, coz i swear on my gtst, the rear tail lights actually lit up at the same time when lights were on?

nah no dash etc, only got front door trims, rear arm rest trims, and rear seat for sale. all for 33 GTR will fit in gtst though.

Hey guys, i have recently bought a 33 GTR, i only noticed tonight that when i have the lights on, the rear stove plate tail lights only light up the outside tail light, the inner ones dont light up unless you have the brakes on, is this normal or has somebody disconnected the rear inner taillights? Also, wanting to know of a good alarm system to install on my car for insurance in oz? what are your recommendations (Brand and Model wise) Car is insured with shannons, so if anybody can shed light on what the require for alarms for there policy that would be great. Hey guys, I have just bought an R33 GTR, trying to diagnose some problems. can anybody help me with a few Q's i have. Q1. Engine is idling high at 1500rpm? I have read broken TPS causes this, how do i check to see if its broken and where is it located? under the plenum area? Q2. Does the RB26DETT have AAC valve? and where is it located? Q3. Atessa 4wd reservoir in the boot, how do you bleed this system so you can put in fresh oil? and what oil should you use in this system? (I Have been told TRANS MAX Z) auto tranny fluid. Q4. What colour are standard GTR injectors? yellow? Sorry for all the questions, but im racking my brains trying to find any info on these questions. and having only recently bought an Rb26dett, i am not totally familiar with these engines compared to the RB25det.
