  1. Wife picked up our new Stagea RS4 4WD on wednesday in Auckland was looking forward to having a play this weekend when I arrived from Christchurch on friday , she picked me up from the airport, looked stunning (the car that is!!) interior amazingly good (the car that is), oh and the wife was driving straight away noticed, no button on the dash to lock the 4WD wheels.... oh dear i thought got home, got a torch (it was midnight) looked under the front of the car DOH! no drive to the front, its a RWD CAR!!!!!!!!!!! ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG didnt sleep a wink all night friday !! foot to the floor back to the dealer - had to play it cool to see if they stiffed us, or they had been stiffed themselves......... me "ive got a problem with the 4wd on the car..you know much about 4wd cars?" sales guy :"no apart from yours is supposed to be a good one.." me:"is it - because it isnt one" sales guy "?" me "its a standard car with an rs bodykit, badges and interior, rwd" sales guy "?" off he pops in the car then takes a look underneath, tells us he needs to speak to his boss and he'll contact us asap. contacted us sunday wanting the car back ! didnt tell us what he was going to do for us, didnt tell us we could have our money back, told us we'd get a hire car instead! so, we've been stiffed, we have to give the car back without getting any money or compensation back, and we get to drive around in a crappy hire car - NO WAY ! wife just wants the money back and no negotiation, which means we'll just hire a car anyway and have to spend next weekend looking for another car !!!!!!!! man this sucks! any advice would be most welcome!
  2. :rave: :bananaman :bananaman :bananaman :boinkcar: ...awesome...
  3. awww man why didnt i go for the bigger bank loan to finance the car Those recaro's would be nice i bet
  4. cool plan for your setup - would love to see it why do you need a second battery? PS2 , DVD player etc to power????? found the pics , thanks for the guidance, I think i'd put mine behind a grill, defo, saying that the windows are tinted around the boot area anyhow, but i wouldnt want the speaker to get mashed by an escaped Sprite bottle after a supermarket trip,
  5. nizmans photo's?!? sub...amp...boot...where where where where :bananaman :bananaman :bananaman
  6. hey hey welcome kiwi rock!!!!!!! - new here myself, hope u enjoy the stag, i'm still waiting for the wife to pick up mine-i mean ours- even then it will be end of november before i'm back in Auckland to drive it (in Christchurch at the moment) but it is essentially her car for work in the week i'll put my mark on it though - soon enough dont foget to visit here http://forums.skylinesdownunder.co.nz/ some stagea owners/users from here on there too! ....ahh the family is growing....
  7. Pickup has been delayed a bit - with us being just a few month off the boat from the UK we havnt much capital, so the bank loan is taking a bit longer that thought Wednesday now, jeez louise your kiwi's have expensive banks, 14.9% and then an arrangement fee too!!, should have got one back in the UK before i left at 6% anyhows, looking at getting a K&N panel filter in there (any part codes would be helpful) and then decat the zaust but keep the back box standard for now. on a turbo car i know that decatting requires some controller for the boost or some restriction somewhere, i assume its all ok to decat an Normally Asp. car? needs some decent rear speakers too and probably amp+sub in the boot as bass is weak out the back, then change the actual stereo headunit too, can i do this in stages? perhaps amp+sub first? i watched Fast'n'Furious 2 last night, so i'm thinking adjustable suspension, neons, flamer kits, nos :insane:
  8. I wouldnt mind the proper cargo liner, althuogh i'm guessing much wadonga for that, probably better to get one from The Warehouse and then spend the rest of the money on Panel Filters and decat pipes
  9. So, Here I am days away from the wife picking up my pristine 4wd Stagea, and although most of the time we will be on the lovely tarmac roads of New Zealand, what can we do when we want to go a bit off road, like gravel or muddy potted roads to get to surfing locations and campsites I dont really want to damage the lovelly RS front lip and rear lower spoiler.....and also the colour coded mudflaps? last thing i want is to see is them ripped off and crunched under the rear wheels!!! So what can we do??? yes yes before you say we shouldnt have bought this lovelly machine for that, we're a little low on funds for me to get a crappy clapped out 4x4 for weekends.....
  10. Pleasde feel free to delete this post if its in the wrong place, but as we're talking suspension etc, anyone get the camber/toe/castor and any other alignment settings for the Stagea ? I assume they would be the same across the C34 range? Back in the UK when I got my Jap Supra I got a 4wheel laser alignment done and could not believe the difference in handling it made, superb at all speeds... Regards
  11. Car : 1997 Nissan Stagea 2.5XRS 4WD Auckland , New Zealand Hello Guys and Gals, Just about to purchase this little baby (link below) and thought I'd join in this OZ forum seeing as my google search of Stagea brought me to my home forum of skylinesdownunder and then they sent me here !!!!!! Its basically my wifes car for work (yeah right!), but I always wanted a "real" Skyline (after owning a Supra in the UK for 3 years) so this is a great compromise, with plenty of boot room for tents, bikes and roof rails for surf equipment ! Car is mint inside and out, with just a slight respray on the front lip - probably from a scuff. The Car Pics & Dealer Site http://www.kilburncars.co.nz/vehicl...asp?stock=21678 (I didnt pay the asking price!!) Model Details (Sonic Silver colour) http://english.auto.vl.ru/catalog/21849/ After looking around for pricey Legnums and tatty Legacys this one just jumped from nowhere and we didnt look back! Wife picks it up this weekend in Auckland , I'm in Christchurch till Mid Nov then I get my hands on it when I'm back there! Cheers peeps, I'm going to be setting up a Stagea website with links and details and members area in the coming weeks/months and probably attend a few meets too.
