  1. OK good stuff. I'll take it to an exhaust shop tomorrow. Does anyone recommend a good shop to go to?
  2. Hmm ok then. Anyone got one I can borrow/buy? Pleeeeeaaaaaaasssseeeeeee
  3. Ahh ok, I thought it was illegal to modify an exhaust before the cat, but if that's what Regency told you, I might not have to do anything to get it through. I haven't looked under the car for more than a few seconds, it has what looks like a cat, but I'd be fairly certain its not the stock one. It smells like its running rich, because of that my mate reckons its a pre-silencer. I should probably have a closer look. I'm pretty sure noise isn't an issue, it has a muffler, not like a milo tin 5 incher hehe. EDIT - forgot to ask if any cat can be fitted to a 3 inch exhaust or do I have to source a R32 one?
  4. Hey guys OK I've got a week off work now and thought I'd use it to organise the GT-R to get through Regency. It has to go for a full inspection because it doesn't have a compliance plate, but it has been complied, and was registered in NSW before I bought it. So luckily the car is pretty much dead stock, but my issue is that I have to put a stock exhaust on I reckon to get it through, not because its noisy, but because it's a full turbo back. Does anyone have a stock exhaust lying around for a R32 GT-R that I could borrow/buy for the inspection and what about a good place to fit it and take off after it's gone through? I don't have a booking for Regency set yet as I wanted to sort this exhaust out first. Any ideas on how much $$$ a stockie would cost me and fitment at a workshop? Cheers
  5. I don't really know. Someone with a bit of knowledge might be able to tell ya. Anyone?
  6. No probs dude, did you try that out? Was it the coil pack? Replacing a coil pack shouldnt be more than a couple hundred bucks at most I'm guessing.
  7. Hey guys can someone run BNR32011245? Cheers
  8. Thanks mate, but I only just got my new toy! I don't think I'll be wanting to get rid of it any time soon
  9. Haha no worries. I just gave her her first wash. Came up alright... but one door is a different shade of grey! Dodgy...
  10. Hey that happened to me on the test drive of my new 32 GT-R To check if its the coil packs just take off the top part of the engine (screwed in with allen keys) Then listen to the engine, and unplug and re-plug each connector to each coil pack. If the coils good it should change the idle noise as it will drop another cylinder. But if you undo one and the idle doesn't change, then thats the coil thats stuffed. What you described sounds exactly what happened to mine and it was just a coil pack Good luck!
  11. Cheers I am pretty happy with it. Oh and I've been driving an N14 Pulsar Gli for a few years, I'm used to old looking interiors!
  12. Oh yeah and some pics! These were taken while it was still over in Sydney. Thar we go
  13. Hey thanks for the hearty welcomes The car has a GREX oil cooler, and a 3" turbo back exhaust which I think is TOM'S branded, but only has the 'M's' embossed on the muffler. Not too sure. Had a turbo timer but I ripped it out before going to Regency and managed to break it haha so will have to buy a new one! Other than that its completely stock. I've heard its illegal to modify an exhaust before the cat so I might have to look into changing it for Regency. My mate reckons the 'cat' might actually be a pre-silencer. So if theres no cat thats definitely no good eh. Really quiet exhaust and nice tone though!
  14. Hey everyone Just thought I'd say hi, my names James and I just got my first Skyline, an R32 GT-R. Just got it off the truck from Sydney today! It came over unregistered, so had to get an ID check at good ol' Regency, but seems it doesn't have a compliance plate so now it needs a full roadworthy inspection in mid-January! Spewin about that. So its gonna be sitting in the driveway for about a month. The wait is gonna kill me!
  15. Yes... I have been thinking about this over the weekend and I don't really like the idea of just trusting the workshop guys picking my car up from the docks and complying it and all that before I even see it. Let alone what you mentioned about the cost of transporting it over here to Adelaide after. Whats the deal with these RAWS workshops anyway? Can you get your car complied at a workshop that isn't RAWS? How long has this RAWS business been going on, because my friend just got his RX7 done here in Adelaide and the only 2 RAWS accredited workshops for RX7s are interstate?
  16. I'm looking at importing a R32 GTS-t Type M through J-Spec in the next few weeks, but the quote they're giving me for compliance is about $4000. I was hoping to see if anyone here has had their car done here in Adelaide since the new laws came into effect and what they thought of the workshop? J-spec also said that the only workshops they knew of that had "R32 plates" were in QLD and NSW? Surely I don't have to get my car complied interstate? Cheers guys
