I heard from someone today that Nissan have stopped making parts for the R32 GTR, inc body panels, bumpers etc.. can anyone confirm?

Thanks, but I am sure in order to fit the ECU some pin/wiring mods need to be done with lambda sensors? Anyone got these details?

Nope the engine light does not come on, and there is plenty of fuel in the car.

Any ideas what is required to fit an R33 ecu into an R32? My R32 ecu seems dead, cannot get the car to start and I have been offered an R33 ecu. Many Thanks

plugs checked not fouled and no vacuum leaks, have checked all hoses for splits...fuel pump is fine, there is also spark from the plugs

But why is the red led in the ecu not lighting up? Thats what makes me think its electrical or ecu related

The car does not have a cat, straight throught pipe..I think the problem is electrical

Hi Guys, For the last few days the car was running very rough with the exhaust gas light flickering, the car was almost misfiring. Now it wont start up at all. I am not sure how to put the car into diagnostic mode, if anyone would be so kind and advise how to do this? Secondly, I cannot see the red led light up in the ecu, could the ecu be dead? Many thanks.

Excellent stuff guys, very interested to see how this will come along. If new units can be produced and used as a replacement for the orginal design, I am sure many people would be happy to buy it.

Hi Jeff, good to hear that you are looking at new ideas, look forward to seeing how things progress. Would love to get my unit working again as the car has been in 2wd for a while now. BTW mine too does not go above 1.6v, I think one of the voltage pots is buggered up.

Same as mine, 2 pots are 2.50, but the other does not go above 1.14v so I guess thats an issue with the pot, Hopefully once that is replaced it all starts to work again.

Reason I am looking to slicks is from a cost point of view. Semis are around 1200 for a set new, seldom available second hand, where as I can pick up good used slicks for 150 from teams.

I tried this today, but one of the pots could not be adjusted for 2.5v the highest it would go was 2.14v while the others were 2.5v and 2.54v. Any ideas why I cannot exceed the voltage past 2.14v?

Yeah I will get 4 slicks, but Porsche Michelin fronts all round. I have Apexi N1 dampers, so adjustments should be fine.. I have also looked up a price of a Dry sump, but its way over priced..why is it so expensive? I have seen one priced at $10,000!

Looking at getting some Porsche Carrera cup front slicks on the GTR, but was wondering what kind of effect would it have on a non uprated sump. As I know it, mine is standard so the last thing I want to do is destroy the engine from an oil surge. A couple of track here in the UK I would avoid as they have have fast corners that go on for more than 4 seconds.. I have been hearing a few things of dry sump setup for an RB, but have not seen much about the kit itself or the costs.

Even when driving or at idle, does not make a difference, it will kill the engine..I am begining to think it is electrical? There is no squeel noise or anything like that..

With the engine running, and the ac button pressed it kills the engine, as it it just cuts out. I will get some one to press it and see what happens to the pulley..

Whenever I press the aircon button on my R32 GTR it kills the engine, I did try to move the aircon pulley and it does not seem jammed. Any ideas where to start investigating this?

Yeah that was pretty much the case.. I pm'd you on FB last week, still got to go through and try this with adjusting the voltage. Need to find a flat place as where I am there are lots of hills.

I am having the same problem, error code 13 fore and aft g sensor. I will certainly give this a go. The funny thing is the car was kept off road in the winter and when I first started it up 4wd worked fine, then after a few hours went back to 2wd mode with the abs light kicking in. I did notice that the voltage was a little lower as per the first post. I hope this works. Many thanks.

so what was the best R32 lap v the new V8's?

im more worried about lambda control. 32 uses titania type where as 33 uses zirconia... can anyone confirm if a 33 ecu work? the ecu is a retail stage 1 unit.. so would be never mapped for the car..
