  1. I did mine 8 years ago no problem I also used just car first then switched to Shannon's, FYI in QLD a mod plate is like an engineers report anyway it means all mods are approved for road use. I did a 4g63t swap into a proton GTI around the same time no issue's there either because its fully covered on the mod plate. Just get the report done if that's what you need in your state, because you are using factory parts you shouldn't have any trouble.

  2. Thinking about it..have you got something?

Might be interested in a bare fornt cut too to fix the shell I found

Turns out modification rules have changed in the last 2 weeks

Car now needs to be a complied car, so import with no complaince is not an option or a stat writeoff

Been thinking about dropping a wagon onto a GU patrol frame. I thought they wanted chassis # only too didn't know of the rule change.

  3. What an epic waste of money. I just built a neo for less than 3k with a similar power figure target. I just started an rb30/25 build with the same target power figure, this will cost below 3k including awd adaptor. IMHO I would never bother with anything other than an rb30 when its going in a Stagea. You must have your doubts thats why you made the post, so I suggest shopping around and supply all the parts. Some of the machining being quoted implies the engine is stripped and has been measured, has it? if not the you are being quoted for shit you may not need or even get.

  4. Ok here is what I would do.

    • I would not buy anything
    • I would use the rb20 harness
    • I would use the rb20 ecu
    • I would get a nistune board
    • I would be glad I did all the above

Now its not that easy but it is the Best solution and will give the best result. Do some research on the above because you are taking the wrong direction using a stagea harness & ecu.

  5. i see, yeah there is a black rubber boot thing that goes over it ! thats thing is pretty jamed on there so i didnt think you would not have it unless someone went to the trouble of prying it off lol.going to have to find a subsitute like above posts says shouldnt be to hard.

Thanks mate I think I have found one to buy 2nd hand, fyi I bought my car in pieces and this along with many other things was missing.

    Cheers

  6. im going to take a guess on what your asking, but the pipe goes over the throttle body and a metal ring with a screw goes over the pipe to hold it in place.

My question is do I just clamp the plastic pipe to the throttle body? it looks like there should be a rubber boot between pipe & throttle body. The plastic pipe wont create a seal over the throttle body too so somethings got to got there and I dont have it.
