yeah...but from what i have heard, they have all been fake walbros. All the tune shops seems to go for walbro, as do most guys I see at the track.
*shrugs* the 040 was good for the 3 months they lasted...not meaning to start a debate, just thought i'd say it There is plenty of discussion elsewhere
-
since you brought this back from the dead - I'll update it...
I went through 3 044's and gave up and switched to a walbro...cheaper...had no problems, and it would have just slotted straight in with the standard mount....

Mine used to work fine. Then it had a leak at the compressor and the evaporator. A shop fixed those leaks. But now it only goes cold if it is on FC. If I just have it at 18 degrees it blows warm.
Using the diagnosis in this thread, all seems to be ok (has error 25) all temps are pretty similar to each other.
Anyone know what is going on?
Cheers

Thanks guys...I have flare spanners, but still no luck!
Any ideas on what will loosen eat at the corrosion (assuming that's what has made it stick)

Hey Guys,
I am trying to replace my master clutch cylinder. But I can't get the metal lines off it. They are stuck. I have tried WD40. I can't get either end to budge.
Anyone have any tips?
Is it a normal thread? or reverse?
Cheers

Hey Guys,
I need to replace my clutch master cylinder on my R32 GTST. Can anyone tell me part number or another car that is the same so Repco etc can order me one in?
Also, any tips on getting the lines off? I can't get them to budge - Assuming it is corrosion
Cheers

Ok finally got an alignment. With the Drift Shop, Midori style, I went from -0.5 to -2 before I ran out of adjustment. So Around 1.5 degrees I got. I would guestimate I could have done about the same distance in the positive direction, so a total adjustment of around 3 degrees is my (educated) guess.
Cheers

good luck with your drifting on Sunday, just don't blow your motor due to fuel surge. you should be all right if you have heaps of fuel in tank. Where are you drifting??? place???

Hey Jetman
I am drifting this Sunday and it still has no baffle currently....we'll see what happens!
-
Yeah that was suggested to me, the guy I was gonna get the tank off reckons it would not have fitted with the exhaust I had. Otherwise I would have done that.
-
Well, I've ordered the driftshop ones to give them a go...

Hey Everyone
I couldn't find anything on here about fuel tank restoration, so now I have done it myself, I thought I'd give people a heads up. I had rust in my tank which was a little bad, but then got really bad after I left it on the garage floor for a few weeks.
Basically what I did was clean it out with hydrochloric acid and water. This ate the rust AWESOME! Then I used the POR15 product ($108) and followed their directions, it came out all good! Awesome stuff.
I am not gonna write up a thing on how to do it as others have on the net, but here are some links.
Make sure you get a mask and face protection for the acid. Cost me around $50 for the mask/canisters, $3 gloves, already had a face sheild. Don't risk it.
Here is one of the guides I found was pretty detailed.

If you have it out of the car, could you email me a photo to [email protected] please? We'll soon see if they are the same.
we can helpHey, I emailed you guys last week and got a reply back saying that all the tanks you had, were full of rust?
If you do have one that isn't damaged/rusty/loose baffle, how much posted to Nelsons Plains, NSW 2324?
Also, can you confirm that whatever you have will fit a 4 door 32 GTST?
Two door and four door are the same, i put one in from a two door no probs!Good to know! Thanks mate I was told they are different....I guess I will have to make sure I see a photo before I buy one.

First one was dodgy from day one - Made horrid noises. They replaced that no worries.
2nd one lasted about 6 months I think, started making same noises... then died too.
oh well
