  9. I'm definately up for it. I pick up my car on Tuesday so naturally I'll be looking for as many excuses to drive as I can find.
  10. Well all this talk of changing taillights on my black car there is pointless now, as I've decided to buy a winered r33, as the black car was apparently going to take quite a long time to get over here. The new car is spotless inside and out (except for steering wheel is worn, it came with a pretty floral cover but i decided that it wasnt required) it's 1994 m-spec with the only mod being a 3.5" kakimoto exhaust... i can pick it up on tuesday ... yay (now i gotta get the "R33" plates changed to red)
  11. plate is on lay-buy my car's still in japan
  12. just call me babelfish
  13. I'm not very tall, i've always kinda viewed airbags as UNsafety devices. i dont really want one to break my neck... even tho this is probably unlikely to happen.
  14. what state/city are you in? if you're in Brisbane, go to T-Bass Audio.. PM for details. If you're elsewhere, I have no idea sorry.
  15. who makes mp3 stackers? gimme gimme gimme !
  16. Do you already have the 7x10s + splits, or are you still looking to purchase? ** Warning: the following text represents my opinion only *** If you intend to run a subwoofer, I would recommend 6" 2way splits in the front (from memory the stock skyline front speakers are 6") and 6" 2 or 3 way components in the rear parcel shelf. Depending on the quality of your headunit, if you were running only one subwoofer you should be able to run the four 6" speakers directly from your headunit using one amplifier to power the subwoofer. As far as 'how you do it': the easiest way to hook it all up is to make sure that your headunit has enough RCA outputs for each of your amplifiers, you then do not have to worry with cable splitters which will only decrease the quality of sound further. I'll cut this post short here as to not get too annoying... PM or just keep posting here if you've got any more questions, or any specific questions about what I've just rambled... or whatever... uhoh.. i'm still rambling....
  17. I think he meant 'Also, the rear taillights started on the Corvettes' perhaps...
  18. I'm after 12V camping VCR's... anything that has RCA inputs and is PAL not NTSC. Of course it'd be an bonus if the picture quality wasnt to bad as well.
  19. It says there: Available for most cars, except those fitted with a driver's side airbag. But your mates GTR has no troubles??
  20. On the JustJap website (www.justjap.com) I've found some boss kits .. they list R33, R32, S13, Supra boss kits, then below that they have 'R33 Airbag boss kits'. (doesnt give any more info) I'll shoot them an email asking if this lets me fit a aftermarket wheel (what else would it be fore?) and if it sits nice and friendly with the steering angle sensor. My car is S1 so the airbag was an option, I dont particularly want one though anyway.
  21. Has anybody here fitted an aftermarket wheel to an R33 with an airbag? Is there a special boss kit you have to get to keep the airbag electronics happy, and is this illegal (I'm in QLD) ? TIA
  22. We'll I've decided I'm gonna give it a go... make the outer afterburners indicators, the inner ones brake/tail lights... i might make the standard rectangular indicators into brake lights or something too if i can find one of those illuminated 'skyline' panels (apprently they're actually a factory option?). I gather though that this might cause some problems with the boys in blue?? Shouldnt be too difficult though as all of my rear lights have clear lenses... so it'll just be a case of getting the coloured bulbs as Mud said.
  23. that would be sweet ... (to others it would be "unskylinely")
