Hey guys,
I have a series 2 R33 with an auto box. When i pull it back to second and hold it flat, then say shift it up to third say around 5000rpm, the revs suddenly climb faster, like a surge. I dont think its "slip" because the car actually surges harder. It's really weird. And no its not the cam timing kicking in cause it will do it at lower revs too.
I have a mate with an auto series 1. It does exactly the same thing. Both boxes seem to function perfectly fine otherwise, and neither slip between gears when left in drive while holding the throttle flat through all the gears. In fact mine spins the wheels a little going into second without a shift kit. both are running around the 230rwhp mark.
Any ideas what this weird charactaristic is would be great, as i'd love to know what the hell it is?
