Thanks Nightcrawler, we are not with either of those builders. We have a reasonably flat block at aldinga, it is just a single pour. We have have now sent emails and my lovely partner is hounding them. It is hard to know when they are full of crap not knowing alot about building. Hopefully when my partner gets home we will have some better news as 'apparently' at 4.40pm this afternoon they were having a meeting regarding us. I wonder why my ears are burning lol. I will be keeping my fingers and toes crossed.

I have spoken with revenue SA and when you sign the contract it states that building needs to commence in 26 weeks of that contract (slab being down). You then need to email revenue sa with all details as to why it wont be down. Then you may be considered for an extension. We have been pushing this for the last 6 -7 weeks and not getting anywhere

Hi all, I am hoping to get some information/advice. We have two weeks to get our slab down to qualify for the first home owners grant and nothing has been started. Is it at all possible to have the block cut out and slab down before 17th of may or are we going to have to get tough and take legal actions to cover us? I am hoping there may be a few of you who work in the industry. I will not publicly name the builder as i do not want anything to come back on us. Thanks in advance i hope

Hey, it has been a long time. Yes i now have my own computer and that pre paid optus internet that works better than expected lol. I love my stagea, only issues i have had are self inflicted, i had an issue with a spider on the inside of my window while doing 80 on panalatinga at woodcroft, lets just say i made out with the kirb. Hey there, my partner and i have just signed up with sterling homes and have had a great experience so far. A few things bank Sa/st george will be the only bank to do 100% and keep in mind if you are building the slab will need to be down by june 30 to qualify for the FHOG or at least the current rate of 21g + 4g from state government for stamp duty which you only pay on the land value. Our house and land is 245000 at aldinga but we are adding another 30g to finish off the house eg carpet, tiling, aircon, driveway and fencing. Look around and find what you like and be armed with as many questions as possible. Remember what you see in a display home doesn't mean you will get it in a standard package. everything costs extra such as double power points, overhead cupboards things like that and with some builders footings may be extra and in a hilly or very windy area it can jump up to 20 - 30g plus if they hit rock off any sort that can cost. We also went through a finance company and found that was a terrific way to find out lots of info and get a better understanding of things Good luck if you have more questions pm me.

hey there, I was looking for some help in finding places in sa that sell imports. mum has jumped on the bandwagon and would like to get one :-) So we were wondering if any of you guys new of some places that sell r33s or similar cars. We had a look at redline but thought there might be some more around, I bought mine privately but dad would like to have a good look at what is around. Any help would be apprieciated. Spotted a few cars while out walking our dogs tonight around 9ish up in aberfoyle park, 2 x 180, r33 sounded very nice and i think a sil80 very dark unfortunatly so details not good. Made me want to get out and drive

i think everyone was doing there xmas shopping today spotted a nice 4 door in a funky purplish colour at colonnades next to me, about 5 at marion and a yellow r34 on the way home up flagstaff hill road. Be warned all the feral people are out and about i watched a 50 y. o kick a trolley an eldery lady was hanging on to at marion, it makes me sick to the stomach to think people are so heartless and disgusting.i just wish i had of reacted quicker and said something, ok rant over Merry xmas
