  1. the only way that would be possible is if the speakers above the sub are out of phase with the sub. (ie sub pushing outwards while speakers push inwards) this is done by the + and - being round the wrong way on the speaker leads or signal leads.
  2. how much lag is too much and how much is normal? i am fairly mechanically minded, but new to turbo engines. i have driven a few gtst's in the last few weeks with the normal mods (fmic, cai, zaust, bov, etc) and they have all seemed to be different. are we talkin like part of a second? 1 second? few seconds? thanx in advance.
  3. Anythin that is rated a bit over 200wRMS per channel (220-250 would be good). All the leading brands that i've delt with are fine. As usual ya get what ya pay 4.
  4. BOZ22N, I am not familiar with the amount of space in the battery and fuse compartment (newby to lines), but if you can fit the speaker in there you can probably mount them there. Boxes can be made very small (to just fit the speaker) especially for 10's. You will have to port the box/s (make a breather hole) which allows the speaker to act like it actually has a larger box area. BUT, this has to be done properly, with proper porting diameter and lenghts. You can buy adjustable ports from places like Jaycar, Dick Smith etc, and your subs should have come with some info about box sizes for enclosed and ported (not sure if it gives porting values tho). Which size amp are you running? A ported box will mean you will need a little more power, but not anything too over the top. You might also want to look at mounting the two subs back to back (one facing the boot, one the driver) but this means you will have to change the phase of one of them (preferably boot facing one). Other than that you can get into making wierd box designs and stuff if you really want to save space. hope this helps
  5. Thanx guys, will try and get him down to 20k or so.
  6. Skylinedrifter, my advice is definately do not lodge your form over net/phone. go in and speak to someone at the bank. i know its a pain in the ass, but make an appointment (with the manager if you can). it make a huge difference. i was reJected twice on 20k earning $900-$1100 p/w when i applied online, but when i went in and saw someone at the bank they approved me the next day. aparently something about actually goin in and presenting yourself??? go figure. also, your banking history is a big thing. my bank manager said that they look at a steady savings record, look at getting a savings account and putting even $20 p/w into it. it will help heaps with a home loan in the future too.
  7. Thanx guys. It does have a FMIC. I am after something that is fairly standard mechanically. wot price do ya reckon i should pay for it. it is in very good condition in and out, only thing i could find was a small crack in front bar. do they all have 4 wheel steer? is this something i should be wary of?
  8. I have been looking to buy a 1994 GTS-T. Found one locally and i am after some advice on what to look for? any usual problems? The mods the car has are 3" zaust, BOV, electronic boost control, Tein adjusle suspension and a GTR bodykit. I have taken most interest to this one cause the guy sellin it is 40, it has not been raced, and looks damn nice. Price on it is $23,000 neg with 90,000Km. It also has4 wheel steering?? is this a bad thing? he claims it has about 180 rear wheel Kw at 10 psi. does this sound right? any help would be great, as this is a great looking car and im hooked!! Thanx
