Hi -there is a sticky on this somewhere but from memory access the "smartlock black box" it was behind the glovebox on my r33 4door. There is a light green wire coming out of the connector on the box. CUT IT & tape up the ends BINGO - no more auto locking at 5klm/hr!!!!!!!

I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MY R33 GTS-t 4 Door - There is a timer box between the switch & the relay that often gives trouble -I have yet to find mine ?? Its under the dash somewhere , Also the switch orange light bulbs often give trouble , they are a tiny 12v bulb that can be accessed by levering the top off the switch itself but has to be out of the dash to get to the little clips that hold it in . Maybe it is working but bulb is out??? Good luck , I am still trouble shooting mine???

Re being an untested towbar--- come on maaate , I guarantee that 99% of towbars sold in this country are untested!!!!!!!! Thats a Fact!!!!!

Maaate - I Tried To Buy One Everywhere For A R33 Gts-t & Was Only Given Grief!!!! Ended Up Making One Myself Out Of An Old Hk Holden One!!!!!! I Lot Of Cutting & Welding But Ended Up Excellent Item!!!!! Only Cost Me $50 For A Metre Of Steam Pipe, Used The Hk Gooseneck & Mount As Original !!!!! Good Luck.....

THERE IS ALSO A CONTROL BOX INSIDE THE BOOT UNDER THE REAR PARCEL SHELF - ACROSS FROM THE BATTERY IN A METAL CRADLE-THIS CONTAINS A TIMER & A FM RADIO INTERFERENCE SUPPRESSOR -THEY ARE VERY TROUBLESOME -I WOULD SAY YOUR CONTROL BOX IS STUFFED- VERY HARD TO GET ONE TOO!!!!

Does Anyone Have A Wiring Diagram For The Rear Widow Demister Circuit- for a R33 GTS-T??? I Need To Find The Control Timer For It????

Does anyone know if there is an electric timer in between the dash switch & the relay under the bonnet to work the rear window demister??? Mine isnt working , I have replaced the dash switch & the relay has power to it but isnt getting the latch signal from the dash switch.....I thought maybe there is a timer box under the dash somewhere that is playing up ???? Any ideas Anyone??????

I Have A Contact To Recalibrate The R33 Gts-t Nismo Speedos To Fit Either Automatic Or Manual Transmissions . He Is Geoff Wright - Richmond/tweed Instruments Po Box 1293 Palm Beach 4221 Qld Ph 0755206509. Cost Approx $150. You Must Tell Him If Its Undereading Or Overeading When You Mail It To Him So He Knows Which Way To Correct It... Tell Him Col Sent You.... (note - You Cant Fit A Manual Sender In An Auto Gearbox Or Vice Versa, So Even If You Buy A New Sender It Still Wont Be Useable!!!!!)

Thanks for that -I have contacted an instrument man who reckons he can recalibrate it to read correctly, as long as he is told that it undereads by 50% he can fix it - now all I have to do is pull the bloody thing out of the dash again & send it to him!!!!!!! Regards ....

Hi - I have just fitted a Nismo 300klm/hr speedo to my R33 GTS-T Auto. I was told it fitted straight in but when I drove to test it it is underreading by half?? IE at 60 Klm/Hr, it indicates 30Klm/Hr. Does anyone know whether this speedo needs a special sender at the gearbox for it . Has anyone fitted one of these Nismo speedos before????? COL...

STOP PRESS!!!!! If you have an R33 Turbo , check your pax side front guard inner plastic shield just behind the stock intercooler for a series of slotted vents in the plastic - apparently there are 2 types of inner guard plastic shield (Turbo & non turbo ) If your car has been modded with an aftermarket body kit or a Nismo front kit, it may have a non turbo, NON vented inner shield which will destroy airflow across the intercooler . Mine was fitted with a non slotted shield!!!!! Its easy to cut some slots in the plastic shield with a stanley knife as the slot shapes are already pressed into the plastic - make sure you cut the slots in the downward pointing part of the slot pressing to avoid mud/slush getting into the intercooler......

Where Is Wire 53 On The Ecu???? When You Look At It In Situ Give Me A Rough Idea -is It Bottom Driver Side Or Top Or What?????
