  1. All motors just need three things - air, fuel & spark. On my Autronic, if the computer doesn't get at least 12.5v then it will not start even if it will crank over. Be sure to charge up the battery to be sure the ECU is getting full voltage. By the way you said it stopped sounds like fuel or spark to me.
  2. Here's my latest video from Circuit Club Racing Twilight Racing Session two days ago. I'm really pleased with how this one turned out.
  3. Video is up:
  4. Xklaba, Did you bleed your brakes before the track day? Also your pads could have glazed causing infamous Brake fade. Lastly if it is neither of those, you might want to check your rotors for run-out/have them turned. On a long straight if the rotors push the pads back then when you go to stop the first "gulp" of fluid is just to get the pads back into location then second pump gives you brakes. I glazed my pads on my first track day - same last session go for the brakes and they go just able to the floor and don't feel like they were ever going to stop. I fiddled with them for a while (EBC Reds) trying to get them back to normal but ended up chucking them in the end. Shame cause they still had 80% of the pad left. Just about to post a video boys. coming soon....
  5. Yeah, was in the dark. Don't know too many details but Stevo was standing out the back of the garage and he heard it. They way he described it "I saw white headlight, white headlight - then red going just as fast or faster than the whites, then bang - hit the wall". I drew it right down during the night racing. I was surprised how many guys were still pushing a bit harder at night.
  6. Yeah was great to meet you fellas. My best was a 1:58.5. Happy that I broke 2 minutes for my first time out on the Creek. A lot to learn about that track. The night raceing was kinda freaky. Everything comes up so fast.
  7. Darn, business hours. I'm locked in the corporate S&M Dungeon from hell. Did someone take some pictures? Might also be good for someone to draw up some scale layouts so we can get an idea of how we can optimally use the space.
  8. a VHS? Wow, I think I have one VHS movie in a box somewhere - it's Waynes World. lol
  9. Can you post a link to the details? Circuit clubs site is hopeless, and I've asked for details but haven't gotten them yet.
  10. So, as part of my entry fee I got a two for one deal. If you want the spot first to confirm $140 to me gets it. How many times can you run EC for $140! This is a circuit club event so there are instructors and timing. I need this gone today so get in quick or make me an offer. If you need to call me - 0419 468 835.
  11. Ok so I've gotten my confirmation. So my other spot is up for sale - somebody give me an offer close to $165.
  12. I just booked on line so my free second entry is up for sale too, if there are enough spots. So another spot for sale folks - $165 (I booked just the standard $330 2 for 1 deal). Somebody help me buy down my costs
  13. Perfect! Just need to fine a way to get it to my place. I'll start work on the plans as soon as the trackday is over. Anyone in for a worker bee to start work on the frame?
  14. Only 1 GoPro rental left. I'll take that one and one person for a reserve list. Come on people get in for the photo DVD or else it won't happen. It would be a shame not to have some great photos of your car on the track. I get comments on mine at work all the time - people walk by and see my background and say - is that your car? I say Yup, sure is!
  15. So is the spot taken? I'm checking with work about the day off this morn
  16. Hey does anyone have a racing bucket seat? I'm thinking it would be cool to make a racing simulator. I have a spare racing wheel and some older computer equipment. I can weld up a frame but just need a decent racing seat. How cool would that be for the clubhouse? Say a best laptime leader board in the clubhouse?
  17. Hey folks DVD offer is open. PM me if you want to get in on it. We need to have at least 15 people confirmed and paid before the day for it to go ahead so that the club photographers get enough money to pay for petrol and their costs. I also have two go-pro's still available for rent on the day too.
  18. Well been thinking of just having a dabble. Being around you fellas and lurking in the photo thread has encouraged me to take the camera out of "AWESOME" mode from time to time. I doubt I can ever hit the levels that you fellas do, but would be nice to be able to add some tricks to the bag of photography. Lets see how to do it in video... I know wear a blue suit and chroma key yourself back out - lol!
  19. Actually I've already picked the name of my band should I start one - Bugeye Sphincter Biscuit (BSB)
  20. Hey Light painting experts, what do you think of this LED work light for light painting? Crescent Might D Light (80 LEDs)
  21. I use corel videostudio X3. It isn't as fully featured as some of the other packages but offers a great amount of capability for the price range. It has up to 3 or 4 video tracks, multiple audio tracks, overlay, chromakey, etc etc. So far does everything I need. I also have some add-in packages that add more capability such as frosted edges, tilt-shift effects, etc. Best advice is start out with just basics: Edit scenes, lay them together so it looks good, then add an audio track (music or something). Most of my quick editing I do that way. The other best advice I can give is don't try to start out doing all kinds of fancy transitions and effects. Best effects are subtle and so that the viewer kind of doesn't realise they are there. 90% of my transition effects are A/B roll (one scene fades into the new scene) and fade to black transitions. I use fade to black between story board segments - like starting a new chapter. A/B is great to kind of just transition as a "time warp" softly moving quickly forward in time. Of course this is just rule of thumb, a lot of times I'll just throw those transitions together to make it look good - especially if the story board is just a jumble of scenes (like cruises, car shows, etc) where there is little story line. As you get used to it, you'll start to find that you start to shoot your video differently. Once you realise you only use about 3-10 seconds of video at a time, you really start trying to find interesting ways to capture your footage (same as photography that way). The other thing I really like about video is the ability to story board which doesn't translate in still photography as much. Although I do know that a few of the really good photographers on SAU can capture a story board in one still frame (e.g. composition of primary, secondary elements in scene). I've been dabbling in editing for some time so hard for me to advise the best way to get started other than get in and start to give it a go. Best way to develop your own style is do what you like and find out for yourself what you don't think works well. When I got started simple A/B roll equipment was about 20k alone and you needed special sync equipment, etc. Now you have the same capability as a full production studio that would have cost hundreds of thousands of dollars for a few hundred on a computer. No one even uses the term "Non-linear editing" anymore cause it's all done that way. I've yet to do a big production. I'm kind of planning one as my first "indi film" project, soon.
  22. Hey folks DVD offer is open. PM me if you want to get in on it. 23. We were using 3 cameras. That allowed me to get 3 different angles at the same time. For most work two is plenty. I just advice taking the time to change the angles and try to get variety. The more Variety in your videos the better they will look when you edit it. Otherwise, you just get these boring shots from the same angle and we get tired of looking at the same thing for too long.
  24. Actually Cass, at the end he had to totally re-record it because he said it like "Yasha..miki". I guess a little yasha miki yousha miki all good At the texi he really liked going out for a lunch time run in my GTR. He was all like ooh yeah that's good.
