when i've been pulled over i've always thought the worst, esp being young and in a modified R33, but in the 3-4 times i've had RBT they have only had the up most respect ,and even had 2 of them on seperate occasions comment on my car.
I did have one officer, pull me up at 10pm one wkend and he was over 300metres back, and i went through an amber light , and he claimed i went through when it was red...ended up with 200 fine.
best part was when he goes, i bet you never even thought you would get caught, and i said, nah i spotted u guys coming out of bunnings carpark back on high st, coz your HID's stood out, and the passenger in the cop car , goes what are HID's ?? so we had a good chat for 30mins or so...still pity i got the fine

hey mate, im intrested in this group buy, but as my current interior is in purple, id like to continue that theme. As there is no purple in the colour chart, is there any chance they have it or is it only whats there ?

You can't really ban members for the places they go or the crowd they are with because you dont agree with it.
Just becuase they were in the area doesnt mean they were directly involved with what happend.

dont matter if they are 16yo or 30yo a group of 600+ is a mob.
you imagine comming home and slowing down at the lights and having ppl rush upto you car and jumping on it, bottling it ..what thats suppose to be normal and we are meant to put up with it?
its all becuase so many weak ass parents let there little shits out and they get drunk and do this , then we are meant to feel sorry for the kid because they are having trouble at home and school and the kid has A.D.D
its a crock of shit, they know the consequences of there actions and they should pay ..if i go and do 200k's down the highway i know the consequences are i can lose my license or get fined...so they should know whats lined up for them now.

mining isnt easy like ppl make it out ot be, you gotta work for your money, a lot of places make you work 13days straight then a wk off.
But they pay to fly you back to your family every time u need to go...also in the mines its around 45degrees , so u gotta be able to work in the heat.
its a good lifestyle for a single person, but if you married and have a family it will take its toll. I love IT , first year or two the money was average (35k) but as of last wk i chucked in my resignation and got a jump for a massive company

i went down there about 2months back and had a run on the drag tag machines, and i thought it was awesome, and the owners there are top bunch.
At the back the spid pan wasnt fully finished , but they put on an awesome demo with an xd falcon, id definitly be going back some time soon

i'll take the camaro.....paint it yellow with black stripe and go around telling people it's bumble bee from the upcoming trtansformer movie and that it talks to me and will transform at my command
also put in a remote start , and when u press ur remot to start it , yell out "engine on" when the remote does start ppl will be impressed
then tell them to try it and see if it recognizes there voice....its always a good laugh watching ppl scream at the car -
just got a new position yesterday as technical consultant , so i put in my 2wks notice yesterday, damn it feels good.

and then we cna do a few doughnuts for good measure -
mine does a similar thing...i dont have a viper alarm, but i'm not gonna say which one i have.
if i try and start the engine using the remote when the car is cold, like leaving it overnight it takes about 2-3 tries before the engine starts...but if i went for a drive and wait 2-3hrs and try remote starting it works with no drama...so maybe something about another IGN wire is possible

skyline owners have an image as being 'street racers' but in reality its not like that, if you compare the type of ppl in general on here compared to ns.com and see the different attitudes towards the police you will see why more silvias are coping defects wk after wk , were i'd like to the skylines arnt being targeted as badly

not all cops are bad, i got pulled over last night behind in the docklands, (under the bridge area at the bottom of docllands drv), cop jumped out of the car ask if it was mine, quick licnese check, done a RBT and told me to have a good night, nothing more, and once we took of he lined me up at the lights and told me to be careful of all the potholes so i dont get any damage to my car, there couldnt have been a better copper

when standing infront of the car, it must be on the right hand side and must be viewable from a 45deg angle

Funny you ask for those links, when i copied them only 2months back they worked and now all of them come up as errors, but i no doubt made a backup of all of it on my work PC.
I will look around now for it, if not i will post it on monday when im at work.

The image below was from another members car and what the engineer done to make it 'safe'. Looking at the quality of workmanship on that , i could have done better with my hands tied behind my back. In particular look at the top 10mm bold and how its attached, i really question how that improves the saftey of the car, the only thing i can see it doing is lining someone else's pocket.

My dad is an engineer for Ford and when we spoke about this issue, he looked at the Act *which i posted in the other thread* and he told me that, its states not cutting the chassis, as the skirt is not a part of it, so we shoudn't have any drama's.
You really need to sit down and go through each term one by one in the act which is a pain staking thing to do, and see exactly were you can cut...Geoff you really seem to know your stuff buddy

The only reason that law stills is valid is becuase it has never been contested and proven that cutting that hole is illegal, if someone went to court and was able to prove that cutting a proper hole has no major effect, nobody will get defects.
Remember police only inforce the law , they do not have to have any knowledge in that specific area, for that reason many people have been defected for total rubbish that doesn't effect the vehicle.
An uncle of mine was getting defected for having 'a loose steering wheel" he asked the officer to come to his workshop and show him whats wrong, he handed over the business car (his the owner and manager of a good year workshop) The officer turned around and stated that she had no time and will let him off this time.
This law may still be in place, but i think anyone who goes to court and contests it will have a good chance of getting off, with the example of Mavric, who said 2 engineers wouldnt even give him a cert becuase they were unsure on the law.

with the heat of the engine bay perspex will melt and disform.
i have made heaps of heat sheilds to re-route air into the box and still cut engine heat and after a hell of a lot of testing i found what worked best.
using a stainless stell box was best with rubber on the side walls of the box. Also you cannot have a totally sealed box, it must have somewhere , where clean dense air can enter , either usinghte stock intake pipe or re-routing it from the front bumper
personally this ebay one wouldnt last too long im guessing

petit knows jack shit, his a wanna be mechanic, if you know your laws, nor everything infront of the firewall needs and engineers cert, only unless u have cut into the chasis, not the box..
there is a whole thread about it around 2months back now, and i even posted all the appropraite laws to suit.
