We do most of the work ourselves and the most it takes is 2 weeks to get a car on the boat. All our cars take less then a month from purchase in Japan to pickup at the port in Brisbane.(we buy privately in japan) I use to have have cars arrive 3 weeks after purchase but ended up waiting for import approvals so now we delay them a week. However when we get them from auction (USS etc) we usually have to add an extra 7-10 days while we wait for paperwork from them. I sent a car via another agent once. it took him 2.5 months to get it on the boat so I know what you guys are talking about. He had every excuse

I have a R32 GTS-4. The turbo has always made a wizzing/buzzing sound at high revs (4000rpm+) but still seems to boost fine. I saw a R33 turbo with 30000km on Ebay which I purchased thinking it would make a good upgrade. However on getting the Turbo I believe it auctually a R32 Turbo (16v on the casing) and it has some play in the shaft. Questions as follows. Should I install a Turbo that has play in the shaft? It spins freely and looks to be in good condition but I am no turbo expert. Any idea what the sound from my current turbo would be? Thanks

At least the prices should stop dropping on GTR's! I have been importing these cars from Japan for the last year and I think DOTARS have done the right thing. Otherwise we would become a dumping ground for old used Japanese cars. Even NZ wont touch 15 year old cars. NZ only takes 5-8 year old cars. I feel sorry for the guys who have bought Australian new GTRs and seen the value harved by the cheap japanese imported GTRs. Next it would have been NSX owners etc. I think they should have made it similar to the personal import rule. 1 car per year per person. That would stopped the huge flood of imports that have caused the law to be changed. On the other hand I am glad I have some GTR's etc , and a NSX waiting to come in under the 15y rule Rob www.japaneseautosales.com R32GTS-4 Rocks!

I spoke to ISASO a few weeks ago and they said they do not supply side intrusion bars anymore. I am looking for Bars for 300zx, 180sx, Skylline R32, Anyone know a good source? And seatbelts? repco are quoting $90 each. Is there a better deal around?

Thanks for those printout. I am going over to Japan in 2 weeks, and will be going to all the auctions for 3 weeks so it would be handy to know the build dates. Thanks
