I bought mine from Power Road, and I thought the service was alright. I got the car I wanted at a reasonable price, and the car turned out OK. One thing I will say, the guys that sell these cars professionally have to deal with >50 moron tyre kickers and test pilots for every one buyer who is halfway interested (and doesn't have to get mummy and daddy's money to buy the car). If i was them, my murder count would be pretty high after a while.

My sister's Honda City Turbo (circa 1986) had a bowling hat on the rear parcel shelf. Turbo or not, anybody still looks silly driving one of these. I always wanted to shoe-horn an SR20DET into a mid 1980s Mercedes 180E but then I realised I was lazy.

I found a good cheap boost controller for $22!!!
cheek replied to CEF11E's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Hey all, I bought one of these little babies Friday last week, Mark had it to me by Tuesday. Excellent service, and it is as well made as all the other posts say it is. Anyways, I bought some extra vacuum tube to fit it away from prying eyes in my R33, so i ended up ditching the stock 3" length of vacuum hose coming off the side of the inlet pipe (next to the airfilter). I kept the T-piece and solenoid hose in place and fed another new section of vacuum hose to it, (from the other end of the Turbotech so it looks neater), so all that's visible is a vacuum hose running fron the inlet pipe, under my pod filter, and back up the other side to hook into the T-Piece. Plumbed it all in and took her for a spin, and I was still hitting 5-6 psi (stock), so I wound the screw up a little bit and hey presto- Non-spiking 10 psi at about 2700 rpm. As for the solenoid, I tried it plugged in and unplugged and didn't notice anything really different, so I left it inplugged. Effectively my set up is exactly as shown in this link... http://skylineowners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=28479 -

LOOK! ---->> REDUCED PRICE on R33 PARTS!!!
cheek replied to NoBle_BuM's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Tail light looms, from the plug to the globes, I can pick them up on the weekend, how does $30 sound? -
My S2 has 2 working, the wiring was butchered at compliancing. (All 4 were working when it was imported, then following compliance, 2 are working.) Mine were hacked badly, so that soldering them back together will be a mess. I'm jealous when I see another skyline on the road with all four hotplates on...2 just looks crap.

Various R33 Bits With Pics!
cheek replied to NoBle_BuM's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Noble, I need both tail light wiring looms, the part with the plug and the 4 globes (if they are intact) pls pm me is you have these Thanks -
When my car underwent ADR compliance, my tail light looms were butchered so that only one 'hot-plate' on either side lights up with the headlights, and the other one lights up with the brake lights. This looks bloody tragic and needs to be rectified. Does anybody have a pair of Tail light looms for sale, or at least a wiring diagram so I can re-butcher it? Thanks all

We've got a 93 Honda Legend which, before we bought it, wasn't driven in 7 years... Stank inside too

Like the other imports I have owned, I hated the polite little JDM horn of my SII R33, so I did what everyone should do...replace it (or them) For $5 from Pick-a Part, and about 5 minutes fitting time, I now have the meanest, baddest barking monster horn, short of going the airhorn route. Here's how... 1. Go to a wrecker like pick-a-part 2. Locate the Ford section 3. Find a Falcon of the XD-XF vintage, an old 1980s tank. (Later models need a separate earth wire) 4. Remove both horns and their mounting brackets (they are located underneath the washer bottle in the front left corner of the engine bay) 5. Unplug and remove your Skyline's weak little nancy-horns 6. Using the bolts from the stock horn, bolt these into the stock location in your Skyline, and plug them in with the standard wiring plug. They earth through the bracket, so make sure they are bolted in tightly 7. Toot the crap out of anything that moves. This thing will be LOUD

Hey all, Attached is a link to the pdf document often quoted by the EPA and Victoria Police (i think) when issuing defect notices. An EPA representative put me onto it earlier toady, as I was trying to find the legislation which dealt with atmospheric BOV. All seems pretty vague, but the thrust of it is that any modification that is 'outside manufacturers specifications' is illegal. This pretty much leaves anything defectable, and my solicitor sister says you'd have to go to court to prove otherwise. http://www.dms.dpc.vic.gov.au/Domino/Web_N...LE/03-010sr.pdf Nick

Thanks for the offer, drifter 33, but I have a little project in mind which I specifically need the HKS SSQV.

Like: Single Gauge pod ( A-Pillar) for an autometer boost gauge, (the larger of the two common sizes (60mm i think) I can't find one of these anywhere A decent 3" exhaust, old school style, and not the new-fangled cannon style. Something brandname, just like this: http://www.upimports.com.au/UPI_Parts/Pics.../Exhaust_10.jpg Anybody got a basic set of used Kings/Pedders lowered springs? A HKS SSQV with adaptor flange for a R33 GTST, in decent cond. Looking for a cheapie for this, so cosmetics aren't important, for the right price of course. A set of BLACK 18x10 japanese rims, dish not all that important. This is a longshot as i'll prob source some from an importer, but i thought i'd test the waters here first. With the exception of the single gauge pod, there are any number of places to source this stuff, but I thought i might put the feelers out in SAU first. Lemme know what you've got Thanks Guys :bananaman

Dunno if anyone is going to look at this thread again, but I just bought a GTR key which fits my 33 GTS-T from Camberwell Nissan for $55. :bananaman Took a couple of days to get it in, but it was cheaper than all the others I had seen on the internet. Apparently the key profile is the same for Silvias, R32s and higher and most other Nissans of the same vintage. Btw, the key I got is the one with the red anodised 'R' underneath the polished 'GT' See below; http://www.findit.co.uk/cars/nissan/parts/1652069.php Note the 'Dealer Price' above :bs!: These look really cool and are a much better alternative to the standard Mr Minit pieces of crap, but they get scratched up pretty quick I'm guessing they are available Australia wide from Nissan dealers

Hey, Wondering if the $65 brace is still available for the R33, if it is, let me know what I have to do to get it (ie bank details etc) Cheers :bananaman

cheek replied to driftnsilvia's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Mate, what sorta car was this muff removed from? I can see a flange at the end which i'm thinking is not from a skyline, but maybe I'm mistaken. Your username says the dirty 'S' word, i'm hoping this isn't off an s13/14 Interested all the same, if it is gonna fit a 33 :headspin: -

Guy says, "Dude, you got something wrong with your BOV?" me "Um, dunno. Don't think so. Why?" Guy "'Cos its not makin' that squeek noise, or spitting blue flame like that orange supra in Fast and Furious" And this from a guy wearing mechanic's overalls, standing outfront of a tyre shop. Obviously all the vehicles spit blue flame in his workshop.
