  1. Ben,

Good to hear your still alive and well. How is everything?

This would be an interesting one to join, but I'd have to check the calendar. Do you still have the raging purple machine? If you do and your local come around holdout =).

If i'm free and I have $$$ I'll tag along with you and be charlie with a walkie talkie.

  2. still got them, but sold my spare wheels, so unless you got some wheels to do a direct swap, can't really sell them

stretched some smaller tyres on these ones and they fit a lot better

i still want to swap you, if you like white rims :P

  3. Yea i was pulling out of the Gf's street saw the cop ahead, he signalled me over asked how i was and checked my lisence then stated " sorry I thought you were one of these young hoons, have a good night"

  4. not sure if it has been mentioned yet but the part number for a genuine turbo to dump pipe gasket on an r32 gtr (should be same for newer gtr's but unable to confirm atm) is 14445-05U00.

hope that helps somebody out :-)

    CONFIRMED!!!!

    AND I HAVE FAST AGAIN!

From all the PM recently about me getting numbers, i thought it was a good idea to reinstall after i lost my copy.

and remember!!!!! in big bold fk off letters:

FOR REQUESTS: Please specify the following, the more the better and easier for to get the right number for you.

    Model: R32 R33 R34 S15 etc

    Year: MOST IMPORTANT!

    Colour: Colour if body part.

Model Number: Blue plate - Really handy if you get this

Chassis Number: Blue plate - Really handy if you get this

    lawl.

  5. Could I just remind people that need numbers that it would advantageous to supply the following: (after all u are getting this for free at the expense of someones time)

  6. I found my problem wasnt actually at 5000rpm but more something to do with boost or being under load. I can have my foot on the throttle a tiny bit and still rev to 6500rmp but i can also be at 2000rpm with foot flat and it missfires, infact its not even missfiring anymore, just hesitates really bad and backfires and goes absolutely no where. Although the car is fine for normal driving. So strange... The missfire could be fuel related (you may to rich/lean) but generally missfire problems in rb's are electrical. Hope that helps...

that is exactly what was happening to mine.

i hope you end up finding it. all it takes is for a small short circuit.

  7. Spotted OOMFG @ gardencity yesterday parked my wifes lancer right next to your beast !.. I sold the 34 , bought a 2000 model VR-4 TT

Hope you liked my love letter to you lol haha

my gosh... from the handwriting and the message you wrote it seems like you lead a double life, Vish by day and Vish-nina by night! lol.

you sold the asian skinned 34?! why why why...........................

  8. how old is the cable assembly in there now?

The nylon needle could still be there but it might just be free spinning. this common problem in the 32's are due to a cracked pin-housing that you will see when you pull the pin out.

there are simple and very good ways of fixing this and there is the best way.

simple: heat shrink the housing so it provides an artificial clamping force

best: buy a new cable. lol

    good luck

  9. ^^^ Now there's a thought Arbz...

You wouldn't be able to fix my Mom's washing machine would you?

It has a (hate to say it) stuttering problem!

    Tez

Sorry Tez, I personally can't fix a washing machine, BUT my dad can, LAWL. At my house, its a one stop shop!

...and the ATSB needs ya to solve the problem why the O2 bottle blew up on the QANTAS 747.

    No stuttering before the explosion.

    But plenty after!

hmmm might be a faulty HICAS.... if only QANTAS employed skyline mechanics, easy! =P

  10. excellent write-up, very informative. well done for sharing what you found :D

Thanks dude. It was a bit scratchy since I was very tired.

Hopefully that helps for work you might come across.

I don't think anyone had did as much research as I did for this problem, I literally searched the entire WWW for help on this and this must be the only unique answer to similar stuttering problems.

Always happy to put my input into it, at least its a win-win situation where I learn something and everyone else learns something. Maybe next time it will be a different machine. woot.

    Arbz

  11. could be AFM related. 2500rpm sounds like safe mode. you can initiate safe mode by disconnecting your AFM and it wont go past 2500rpm and run like sh*t.

I havent come across a bad AFM but I did resolder my afm joints just to be safe.

Definately Electrical from the sounds of it. if you read my post about stuttering you'll see how frustrated i got when i found my answer.

    good luck.

  12. lol...glad its all sorted. reminds me when i was driving around for 4 yrs with only my back speakers working cause i couldnt figure out how to adjust the front on the stock headunit untill i randomly figured it out..lol....stereo finally.

    hehe. a good feeling huh?

    jebus!!!

tell me about it, im glad its over. i still have a high idle which is one of me next two things to do.

    Fantastic Story!

    Job well done.

They need you at the NTSB to not only investigate Air Crash Investigations; but to prevent a crash or two...!

    aaaaaaaahahaha, thats a good one.

hopefully when i finish my engineering degree, this type of shizzz will keep me from going insane. always good to keep the mind busy and then rewarding it by feeding it with good quality scotch.
