What about using a knock sensor and then have a map setup for knock correction to the ignition timing?
Not all ecus can do that
-
No such thing as too many logging points/gauges.
Be interesting to see if it goes away with fresh fuel
-
And what if you go backwards when advancing the cam?
-
Sounds way to complicated... just buy a tomei cam gear and be done with it.
Because f**k pulling the radiator out and balancer off for timing adjustment

"Its got a 4 barrel carb and a dual exhaust. With four eleven gears you can really get lost..."
-
Interestingly...that differs a lot from tomeis cam card. But my calculator has no way of allowing for vct on the inlet
-
So if you go off tomei's advertised duration at 1mm of lift which is 220deg for both inlet and exh and using a 115deg lsa.
My calculator says
Camshaft Calculations - Lobe Center / Duration
Your Tomei 256 has an Overlap of -5.00 degrees and has in Intake Duration of 220.00 degrees. The Exhaust Duration is 230.00 degrees. Your Lobe Separation Angle is 115.00 degrees. The Inlet Cam has an Installed Centerline of 120.00 degrees ATDC. The exhaust cam has an Installed Centerline of 110.00 degrees BTDC.
So no overlap at all. Infact both valves are closed for 5 degs of crank rotation

I used all genuine. Replaced everything. You can use fast or an online epc for thr part numbers and order through amayama.

Goulburns new motocross track got canned because it might upset some chickens on a chicken farm. That's right, chickens not people.

Time was too tight to risk being caught up in the strikes/riots

Hooker claim it as a gas velocity increasing thing
Prob works ok on an atmo engine

The muffler tube is 3.5 but has a reducer ring in one end
-
Cool I'll look them up
-
My soarer is loud as f**k with its 3.5" system
Has a big hooker aerochamber at the back and a custom mid muffler (its small cause f**k all room with a 3.5" pipe)
What mufflers are you guys using on the quieter systems?

Hmm American muscle power plant in the iconic Aussie Commo.
Not sure how that might be received..
Anyone remember the reaction of Holden fans when the VL came out with the RB30.
They were disgusted at it, but much later became very popular as everyone slowly realised the potential of the RB.
Another mongrel Holden.

Id buy one...
Just out of reach

For the love of god do not buy any turbo with tomei stamped on it
-
Just mount maf to the roof. That way the fueling is based on air flow/road speed. Imagine the fuel savings in stop start traffic.
-
Even as a pencil holder they would be laggy and make no power.
Would just make your work day longer

Thats rubbish.
There is 20+ hp on the cards going from a dual 2.5" system to a dual 3" system on a 500hp 6l v8.
Turbo cars will improve more again
