  1. John, not sure that's going to be enough mate...
  2. Anyone is able to come as long as payment is cleared through the account. I will update that daily. To make this a successful day for us, filling the day with 30 cars would be a great start.
  3. Hi all We are now opening this up for any type of car to fill the day. So if you do not have a Supra or a Skyline, you're more than welcome to participate and you will also qualify for the prizes. Update on prizes Damien from the ACT branch of Shannons will be providing 2 vouchers for the services of ESP, voucher 1 one at $250 value, and voucher 2 at $150 value. Danny Williams from Love Tyres & Mechanical (6242 9555) has generously provided a $150 voucher towards mechanical services for your daily ride or you can use this for your next purchase on tyres. Please hurry and secure your spot as we are opening this up to the public to fill the day. Cheers Ross

  6. Hi all The prizes that we have lined up will not be for dyno queens. The prizes will be shared out. As we only have 30 spots allocated (which I'll be suprised if we fill) we already have over 25 prizes, so everyone that participates will receive something. If this takes off then we will have this as an annual event and hold every year on the first Sunday in June. As you can see we (ACT Supra Club) have 13 names down and people are paying everyday as they don't want to get on our blacklist. We really need you guys/gals to get behind this event to make it into an annual thing. Cheers Ross

  8. Donnan has started a new thread with how to describe your payment. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Sk...Da-t320081.html Please spread the word as there is a distinct lack of Skylines attending at this stage. Cheers Ross

  13. Hi all Just trying to bump this thread back up so everyone can start getting ready for the dyno day. I'm in the process of finalising the prizes for the day and as soon as I have something set in stone, I'll post it up. The ACT Supra Club (ACTSC) currently has 15 attendees which I have no doubt will have drop outs but we have started a reserve list, just in case. I've asked for all of the Supra people to pay for their run ($50) into our club account. What I need from you guys is to have someone collect money from the Skyline group and to forward me a list of people that have definitley paid. I'll have a chat to Donnan about this sometime today or over the weekend. I have had a chat to ACTSC committee and we are happy to share the proceeds of the BBQ with you, but we do require you to share the cooking responsibilities throughout the day. Now to get some sort of cash for our clubs, you need to start telling everyone to turn up, we need a big crowd for this to be a successful day. Just to give you a heads up that we (ACTSC) have a blacklist for people that stuff us around in relation to people saying yes they are in but end up not turning up. For more info, http://www.supraforums.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=57175 If anyone would like to discuss this with me, please feel free to send me an email, ross.pandher@finance.gov.au 9 am - 5 pm Monday to Friday Cheers Ross
  14. The date is: Sunday 6 June 2010 Start time: 9:00 am Where: Extreme Street Performance (ESP) Address: Gilmore Road, Queanbeyan Might be easier if a new thread is started with a list of Skyline owners that are coming. This way we can confirm the attendees after payment has been made.
  15. Yep, this date is locked in !! By the start of next month I'll be attempting to fire everyone up and will need all of your help to start getting numbers for the event. Most importantly, payment to lock the punters in.
  16. Another update. Damien the ACT representative of Shannon's insurance will be in attendance and will be donating a prize for participants. As soon as I know what the prizes are, I will post them ASAP. Cheers RP
  17. This is being held on Sunday 6 June 2010
  18. Unfortunately, there will be no sound off competition as BDL are already booked on this date. They are also working on a voucher/prize for the day but will let me know what that might be. I'll let everyone know as soon as I find out.
  19. Mick from Federal Tyres will be attending and he is working on a prize for participants.
  20. Hi all We made our dyno day on the Sunday as I saw you guys/gals were planning on holding yours on the Saturday. We do at this stage only have 10 people intersted but we are 4 months out and numbers could change + or - we just can't tell at this stage. I very much doubt that we will have 30 Supra's there but there may not be enough spaces for Skyline owners. If we could leave it for a couple of months and I'll have a chat to the committee and the guys at ESP to see if we can change it around a little to have more spots available so we can have both groups there. I think it would be great to have both groups there for a big dyno day as well but we have to be mindful of our members at this stage and I will get back to you all with any updates. Happy to discuss. Cheers Ross
  21. I received an email in relation to this person and there was another 2 people invloved with this guy, one of which was female. Is Kerry the female I wonder ??? I did ask around and the people invloved are well known to the Police, so from what I've read so far, one person has been caught and there are still at least 2 other people that are on the Police radar. Fingers crossed they catch them and we can all feel a little safer that our cars will not be stolen...

    Jdm'fest 2009

Hi all Great to see plenty of nice JDM cars on Saturday. Sorry I didn't put my car on, but I've pretty much made a decision that I won't be dynoing my car on any other dyno without one of the ESP boys to oversee the operators. I just don't want to risk any damage to my engine. Plus I don't think I would have beaten the 398 that Nathan put down in his Supra as I think my valve stem seals are on their way out. I did mention to the guy that was looking after the shownshine that if they run this event again next year that they might consider doing it either 3 weeks before or after this particular date as a lot of owners could be in the middle of playing footy finals and they should also consider having it run on a Sunday as well. I was a little disappointed with the FD turnout though, maybe they were all changing rotor seals that weekend.... Anyways, good to see some nice Skylines there, fingers crossed this event gets bigger and better for us JDM owners. Cheers Ross

    Jdm'fest 2009

Yep, shownshine only for me. I'm just keen to see a bucket load of JDM cars, should be a nice change from seeing a bunch of taxis with bonnet bug catchers...

    Jdm'fest 2009

PM Sent The 2 Supra's that are going on the dyno are one MKIII N/A and a TO4Z powered MKIV. The N/A will be lucky to get 90 rwkw and the single should get around the 360 to 370 rwkw. I don't know of any others that will going on this dyno.

    Jdm'fest 2009

Too true, I've heard some horror stories about Gas motorsport as well, but I'll leave that for another day..... PM sent to everyone that was asking questions. Basically, I have told them that it is up to them wether they run their cars and all I have done is to share my experience.
