  1. Another newbie here so I agree! Thanks for hosting it mate
  2. Hey guys Thanks to all who attended the event (both competitors and spectators). Pics from the event can be found on mazdarotary.net now as well: http://mazdarotary.net/nisdatdragchal0501.htm and also fullboost.com.au Cheers!
  3. Hi Ash, I didn't get your email, but its good to hear you are coming along. I'll keep an eye out for the cowboy hat raul
  4. OK guys time for another update. The event is on this Saturday, here are some more details regarding the event: Gates open at 9am, racing starts at 11. Getting there earlier will enable you to get your car setup and scrutineered and ready to race when the track opens. When you arrive at the gate and fill out your entry forms, you will need to select only ONE class to enter. The classes are listed on the event flier posted above. Entry to the Top 8 class will be open to the 8 quickest cars on the day. There will be a test and tune session from 11am to approximately 1:30/2pm. There will then be a break for lunch. After that the event will go into eliminations for each bracket and the Top 8 shootout will also be held. It says racing from 11-4 on the flier but depending on the number of entries, the event could run over time to 6pm for example. There have been a number of confirmed entries for all classes along with a number of quick cars interested in the event, so it is shaping up to be a ripper. To keep an eye on the weather forecast for the event, use this link: http://www.bom.gov.au/cgi-bin/wrap_fwo.pl?IDV17003.txt And look at the forecast for the Bendigo area. The weather around Heathcote is often very different to Melbourne. For any other questions or for more info about the event, please feel free to contact me via - contact @ mazdarotary.net Cheers
  5. Heathcote is about 15mins from Bendigo Here is a map showing the location of the track... http://www.heathcoteraceway.com.au/images/...athcote_map.JPG
  6. Thanks for the interest in the event guys. Less than two weeks to go, shaping up to be a great event. Can potential entrants please pm me or email me (contact @ mazdarotary.net) or reply here for those who haven't already, showing their interest so that we can get a rough idea of the number of entrants in total and the number of entrants for each class. If you are >80% sure of entering thats close enough All I need sent to me is a one line message saying 'yes i am going to enter, and i drive a nissan skyline" for example... no need for other details (name etc ...) Payment/Entry is on the day as well for those who were wondering. Thanks
  7. No the event is open to Nissan and Datsun vehicles only. R31Nismoid is also correct regarding what is allowed in the Skyline class. Also the event will probably go for longer than what has been advertised on the event flier. We are thinking that it will go to 6-7pm, it depends on the number of cars entered. Early next week I'll be looking to try and get some sort of rough figure on the number of cars planning to enter the event. Thanks guys
  8. you can enter on the day, thats no problem. Entry doesn't have to be confirmed early, but it can help to organise things a little better and get an idea of the number of cars per class etc...
  9. I'm pleased to be able to announce that we have also managed to secure a couple of the fastest Nissan's in the country for this event. Coming over from South Australia are: Theo Spartalis' GT Autosound S15 Drag Car ( http://www.gtautosound.com/projects2.php?s...section=s15drag ) Keir Wilson's two R32 Drag GT-Rs ( http://www.ausautoportal.com/willall/draggtr.htm ) With just over a month to go, the event is shaping up to be a real treat for Nissan/Datsun fans. Remeber for more information please email contact'at'mazdarotary.net Replace 'at' with @ (to prevent spam) Thanks!
  10. Hey guys Just a post to let you know that the Nissan/Datsun Sports Owners Club is holding a drag day at Heathcote Park on the 28th of May (its a Saturday). Entry is open to all Nissan/Datsun vehicles and you don't need to be a member to enter the event. There are numerous classes to cater for a wide variety of models, so there is something to suit everyone. The finer details of the classes are still being finalised. For more information you can email contact(at)mazdarotary.net for an information sheet which will be available in the next week or so. Thanks! Ben
