  5. Thanks to all you guys and girls for turning up and making this such a worthwhile event to run. Makes the cutting of 5 kilos of onions worth while The official tally so far for funds raised at todays events totals $2500. Awesome effort guys! Special thanks to Giant from the forums for his personal contribution of $500 and a matching of that contribution with another $500 from his business RGM Maintenance Pty Ltd, making that a total donation of $1000 from one person! Outstanding efforts guys! I'll be donating this money in person again at the RCH on Friday morning, so keep an ear out on B105 friday morning around 8am for the donation to be made If all of you's had of hung around at the dam for an extra 30 or so minutes, you would have all missed the storms/rain and driven through some huge puddles that were heaps of fun!! Once again, thanks to everyone that participated and made this event worthwhile yet again.. PS: I would like to apologise to the familes who's children heard my speech at Aspley car park, but unfortunately, those things have to be said so the idiotic behaviour is kept to a minimum.
  6. Perfectly sunny here See you all soon
  7. We found some, but for $2 for 200g, it was a bit of a rip.. if we did that, there wouldn't be much money left over for the kiddies.. So I chopped 5 kilos of onions this afternoon.
  8. I really hope tomorrow is like today, I'll be praying it is!! All the food is ready to roll!! My eyes hurt and my fingers stink, but we've got heaps of onion for the sausages!!

  14. Just incase anyone starts wondering, this cruise will still go ahead if it's raining.. There is kinda undercover parking at Aspley and there's also an under cover area at somerset dam.

  18. Mud, it looks like I might be able to make it after all. After a lot of sorting out on cars and who's going where, seems we are taking two cars just so we can work this all out. Expensive day! But damn i hope it's worth it. So I should be able to lead the group from Southside, but Mud if you could be a back up incase things go pear shaped, that would be awesome.

  22. Below are the simple rules for the use of the classifieds section. Any users that choose to ignore the rules as below will either have their posts or threads removed/edited, or may receive a warning. Once a certain warning level has been reached, a user will be banned for 2 weeks. If a further ban is incurred through the warning system, a permanent ban will contracted. THE DO'S AND DONT'S OF THE SAU CLASSIFIEDS! Sellers When starting a new thread, you must include a set price, or at the very least a ballpark figure that you are looking for. EOI's are not permitted Clearly state the type of item you are selling, the condition of the item, important details like modifications, kms etc, your location and contact details No continuous thread bumping! - If you insist on continually bumping your thread, your bumps will be deleted and if it continues, you will receive a warning from moderators. One bump every 24 hours is permitted. Do not repost your For Sale thread! - Edit your old thread if details change, and bump your old one instead. We don't want 5 different threads that could potentially confuse buyers and make a deal go sour. Post photos! - Where possible, add images to your post. This is by far the best way to show off your item and give any potential buyers the best indication as to items condition etc. Posting photos will also cut out the "pics please" comments and help you to sell your item faster. Click here for a tutorial on how to post photos on SAU No posting on behalf of others! - If your mates want to advertise their items here on SAU, tell them to register - If you dont own it, dont post it for sale. Absolutlly no business trading in the state area. This includes selling multiple items of the same or similar description. (Use "Group Buys" if you wish to sell many of a particular item) Buyers Recently, moderators have been deleting too many stupid posts in the for sale section and as such, the following now apply: Absolutely no "Free Bumps" or "Nice car wish I could afford it" comments - If you like what you see and you wish to compliment the seller, send them a pm Only post on the thread if you have a genuine question or are genuinely interested in the items being offered for sale No price debates - put simply if you do not agree with the price being asked, do not comment on the thread. If you believe the seller is asking too much then either pm the thread starter or don't buy the items advertised - simple. There is to be no "My cousin can get it for much less" or "Your asking too much" comments. Again, comments like these will be deleted and if you persist in posting such comments, a warning will be issued. In light of recent dodgy traders that have popped up, if you see a user or thread that you think is suspicious, pm a moderator or report the post immediately!! - Dont start throwing accusations around. If you would like to make an offer to buy an item less than it has been advertised for, then please take the time to give them a pm. Do make offers in the open forum as it degrades the sale and maby be seen as being rude. You can however put, "Sent you a PM" in the thread if you feel it nessary. Please consult the bad traders list before handing over any money! These rules are here to ensure a safe and enjoyable trading environment for all users so please respect the rules and enjoy the forums.
