  3. in total the car, looking the way it does now, cost me including rego,engineers and engine mods a little over $14000 and the car originally cost me $5500 including transport from QLD to Vic. so realistically the car to get it how it is now cost me bout $11500( not including engineers, rego and insurance). My cousin does the conversion on the 180's the silvias and the s14 for the 180's it costs 2750 with change over pannels 3500 without change over pannels The car is running a 5 stud pattern with r32 brakes all round the car came damaged but hell for 5000 u cant go wrong engine mods are : The engine is your standard rb20det with a metal head gasket. It's got a garret t3/t4 turbo 3inch zorst air filter microtec ltx12 apexi avcr 550cc injectors fuel pump stanless sleel manifold FMIC BOV supra radiator with twin thermo fans and all this is runnin of 16psi and now that it's had a good tune it's got 241.3rwkw so i'm rather happy with her.   4. We'll i'm not to sure where the sender is placed but i'm pretty sure thats it's an electrical sender and does it just go straight in to the engine block?? Yea it moves around when i rev the car on nutral when it's on start up it goes to 50psi and then when it's warm and just idling it sits on 0psi, now that can't be right and the highest i've seen it go is 25 psi at about 5000 rpm so i dunno if it's the gauge or if it's my oil pump. maby it's not connected properly cause my water temp doesn't really go above 60c and i knowit's really on about 83-90c. farkin autogauge
  5. Hi peoples I've got an auto gauge oil presure gauge and it doesn't seem to be reading properly or maby my oil pump is f**ked it doesn't really go past 25psi when warm even when thrashing. Can anyone tell me there experiences with the gauges and where do i put the sender unit incase i've done it wrong. and also how do i wire it up (incase i've done it wrong). By the way it's on an rb20det in an s13. Cheers anthony
  6. This is my car and as i'm sure you can guess it's got an rb20det in it just got it back from the tunners the other day and it's got 241.3 rwkw with no real power loss right up to 7500rpm. It made 253.8 rwkw but was runnin a little lean 12.5:1 so we tuned it back to a safe point . i know it's not really 260rwkw but hey it's got 322rwhp so i thought i'd post it up. By the way roy can you give me the formula to convert speed to rpm Cheers anthony
  7. to be honest mate it kicks in to full boost at a little after 4500rpm can't wait till the gt30r goes in it, should make full boost at about 4000rpm believe me that's a huge difference. The GT30r has a .63 comp that's why and a .6 turbine.
  8. Na i got a metal pipe comin off my turbo to the airfilter and cause i got a microguess it just runs off a map sensor. I have no idea why it caused such a problem. I was takin out the wastgate again to see if it was that. the gasket fell underneath the air filter and it wasn't on the ground, so i took the air filter off and procedded with the wastegate. the wastegate was fine and i forgot to put the airfilter back on, took the car for a drive and it was fine talk about lucky!!!!
  9. Ok guys all fixed after spending damn near 2 grand i found the problem. First i got the car retuned, changed the cat, changed oil, sparkplugs, oilfilter, changed coilpacks, chanhged wastegat, all to find out it was the damn airfilter!!!!!! 2 grand for a Farkin $$140 airfilter all fixed and now pulls like a bitch! got the car retuned and she made 251.9 rwkw off 18psi and we tuned it back to 241.3rwkw off 16psi cause it started runin a little lean the good old RB still has it nin her!!! Hitman said that once we get the fuel problem fixed should be able to make about 255 -260 safley and about 290rwkw off race fuel on 25psi. all in all i'm damn happy with the car now and all that's said and done Hitman is a genious when it comes to EMS's Well thanks for all the reply's guys.   10. yea it has to be touched up but it still should hold boost when it's switched off and it's not, i dunno what the f*&^%kn problem is but it's frustrating the shit out me Cheers anthony

Well guys I took the car to hitman and he didn't even put it on the dyno like i wanted him to he just took it for a drive cheked the BOV and he said check the cat it could be blocked, but how the f*^&k could the cat being blocked make 0 psi boost???? The car is not running on 0 psi like i thought ( by the way the boost cutting out is happening at 5200rpm and in higher gears it's less) it's actually running vacume So much for the Dyno Cheers anthony

  14. Yea always past 6000rpm like i said like a light switch it just goes down to 0 PSI it doesn't seem to be leaking boost prior to that throughout the rev range. Cheers anthony

I took it to my tuner he took it for a drive and said it seems to be the waste gate cause it looks like it's just stayin open past 6000rpm (really bout 5500rpm) and that's why it' not makin any boost. so i then baught a new tial wastegate and put it on today and it's the same problem. And i kid you not it says o psi on my boost gauge and the car seems to be goin backwards. No strange noises nothin just 0 boost, it has me baffled. i just ran it on standard boost which is .8 bar and it goes up to 9psi and holds that to bout 6000rpm and then back down to 0. i really really really wanna get this fixed it's just pissin me off now!!!!!!!!!!!   19. It would go right up to redline no problem. the bastard used to fishtale into second and step out going into third now nothing. The rev limit is set up at 7800rpm and it would hold boost the whole time thats on standard 8psi setting a on 14psi and setting b on 18psi. now goes up to 8psi then at around 6000rpm (probably colser to 5500rpm) just falls flat on it's face Cheers anthony
  20. Hi peoples Now this is really f&*$^*n pissing me off. I’ve got an rb20det in a 180sx. I can drive the car fine makes boost well and then bam at 6000rpm I loose all boost as in it’s running 0 psi. At first I thought it was my wastegate cause I bought a cheap imitation off the net, but then I changed that to a genuine Tial wastegate and still the same. For the love of god guys I got spanked by an xr6 he handed me my own arse and all I could do was hang my head in shame!!!! What could possibly causing this huge lose in power. Well the cars got all the normal GFB like fuel pump, injectors, AVCR, ECU, fmin, zorst, but where it might be getting let down is the turbo, ive got one of those cheap ebay copy xs-power turbos, I got it balanced when I baught It and all, could that be the problem?? Please help, please. I don’t care how stupid it may sound tell me what you think it could be. Waiting in anticipation Anthony
