thanks for all the info guys the bloke just lost his license and he seems like a nice guy he's driven it all of 2000km in two years since he has imported it as he has a another car for during the week. i asked him about any problems he said the usual stone chips on the front and a little rust in one rear quater panel but that was it Cheers anthony

it'a a 1990 bnr 32 gtr and it's done 101000 km the guy is emailing me pics hopefully tonight so i'll post them up. He's had it for 2 years doen't leak anything at all and he say's it's in great condition. Cheers anthony

Hi people I'm looking at getting an r32 gtr and i have a couple of questions what are the common things that go wrong with this car and is there any thing that i should look at before i buy it. The one i'm looking at has twin air filters and a zorst but that's it. how much power will that make?? what is standard boost?? what after market computers are good for this car and is micro tech a chance? how much does it cost to but and then install and how much is the tune?? what are other relitivlly inexpensive way's of making power out of these cars after the computer is changed?? and what boost can i safely run on the standard turbo's and any other information you can give me will be great. And i tried to search GTR but nothing useful came up Cheers anthony

Hi guys Looking at selling my 180sx it's got an rb20 in it with all the bolt on's mods include gt30 turbo tial wastegate 3in zorst blitz intercooler apexi avcr stainless manifold microtech ltx12 racing seats sports stearing wheel gauges cam gears 17" enki rims JIC adjustable suspension rear camber arms 444cc injectors walbrough 500hp fuel pump microtech dash s15 front wide body rear fully engineered and much more At the moment the car just needs a tune and the exahst manifold changed (i have the manifold and gaskets) and she'll be good to go . The engine compression is excellent with 135-140 across all 6 cylinders. the car has been looked after very well with services been done at 4000km. The car has done a 111000km and the engine has done a little over 100000 timing belt has been changed as well as water pump so the car is good to go. Price 15,500 FIRM, very veru FIRM Cheers anthony

I dunno what's wrong with my car it runs fine right up to about 82c and then it'll start running on 5 cylinders for a bit then cut back to 6 then back to 5 and so on. It's driving me crazy. Some times it takes ages for it happen even after reachin full temp. It only happens when the car is warm i've got an rb20 and splitfire coil packs and the ignitor is good cause it does run of six cylinders some times by the way is there anyone out there that will be willing to help me out with just giving me a very basic tune with a 02 sensor for a microtech the car's running very rich and it seems like the tune is crap i just need somthing very basic cause i have to get the whole thing retuned when i get my manifold put on the car by the way i'm in sydney i just want a basic cheap road tune did i say cheap??? To be honest i don't know what happened i know that the battery shorted out and then the car wouldn't idle and then i got some guy to come down and do a quick tune so i could drive it back to sydney but it was running way to rich he said he had to put in an extra 50% fuel to get it to idle then i think what ever the problem was it fixed itself up because i was only getting 210-220km for a full tank on the highway. The car was running very rich with black smoke and the plugs were fouling so i pulled out 40% of fuel and it drives much much better but i'm not sure on the AFR so i'm not hitting full boost till i get it tuned. I don't mind the microtechs it's the tunners that don't like them. and if your talking about dyno dave heared some pretty bad stories about him from a good friend of mind that took his car there. Well i've booked it into adam at JEM he's a top bloke and always looks after me in terms of price and always fixes everything up before he gets it off the dyno the only thing is that he doesn't really like the good old microtech's. my car at the moment has an rb20 with the following mods GT30 turbo .63 rear housing apexi AVCR Wallbro fuel pump GTR injectors 3" zorst 100mm blitz front mount cam gears microtech lts12 tial 38mm wastegate and i'm wanting to run it off 18-19psi because the motor is untuched internally. i got a tune in melbourne but shorted out the battery and lost it. And cause of my crap manifold design i was making 231rwkw but that was with boost set at 14psi creeping up to 18psi and that was making 18psi at 7100rpm!!! so i'm putting the standard manifold back on and welding the wastegate on to it so i can reach 18psi straight off the bat with no creep. any estimations on power??? by the way the red line is set up to 8400rpm Cheers anthony

Hi people i did the search and there are alot of good tuners out there but most of the good tuners won't bother with the good old microguess.So i'm after tunners in sydney that really know there shit and are willing to tune my car!!!! it's a microtech lt12s so it's one of the new ones.any ideas??? by the way whats a safe AFR to be at on wide open throttle??? All of them were reinforced and i had flex pipe installed on the exahst but they still cracked and they were fairly cheap though Cheers anthony -
Hi people I need to weld my wastegate on a standard rb20 manifold i know it can be welded on the top but i really need it welded on the bottom. Now my car's pretty bare no air con no nothing so it shoud fit if i run i 2" pipe down and then mount the wastegate. The question i want to know is how much will it cost to weld that up to the standard manifold and what is the downside of doing this. and no i'm not going to buy a manifold with a gate on it cause i've been through 3 of them already i just want to use the standard one. Ok but will the loom from my silver top plug into the red top now this engine is an ex under 2lt sports sedan engine so i would be asuming that the butterfly's would already be taken out of it. Everything else i want to change over from my motor that being coil packs (split fires) injectors, gt30turbo engine management ect ect. So how much power did these engines make i.e the under 2lt sports sedans if anyone knows and do you think that the engine would have any internal work done to it?? the guy i'm buying it off said that the engine looks to be ported which is a good thing as they have f*^$k all breathing. However he does not know the condition of the motor because he has never seen it running but like i said it's damn cheap any info would be great? Cheers anthony -

Hi people i can pick up a red top rb20 for a good price with a little bit of work done to it and i was wondering if i do get this engine can i use all my parts from the silver top engine like manifold gt30 turbo coil packs injectors microtech ect ect i basically want to make sure i can put this engine in and everything plugs into the right places and will fire up. Do i have to change the loom or anything like that?? Also what is the difference between these engines like the different power output??? Cheers anthony -

Yea the speedo works but apparentlly if the km's have been tampered with the car's odometer does what mind does which means it works some times and then gets stuck and then it starts working again. Cheers anthony
