Oh yeah and incase anyone is wondering where the FRO mobile is it is off the road with a crook throw out bearing... I hate front drives to work on... whole motor comes out to do a throw out bearing... Cheap though... he should have the bits Monday (tyler asked before) So it should be back pretty soon... I was trying to talk him into a big clutch though... probably a Nicks... is a 5 puck too nasty in a front drive? What about CV's lasting... or do you just not worry about little things like reliability in a front drive?

I'd rather watch this one... and pit for Sciby and Dev... they might need some spanners spun or something like that... but we will see... hopefully there cars will be as reliable as the Silvia was... I didn't put a spanner on it the entire day... the only reason I lifted the bonnet was to let a bit of heat out... Although I did do some slight tyre pressure mods by the end of the day... those Yokahama 008's were really hard... obviously because they are a track tyre... and I had alot of trouble getting them hot enough to actually get any traction... So I ended up doing a good skid on a little less than 8 PSI... it started to work but the biggest gains I made were through the cooler air in the afternoon... I really want to run at a night meet... but oh well it won't matter soon as my intercooler rocks up... just didn't order it early enough... but I might have it for the drags... I'm pretty keen to see how everyone else goes... this is my thoughts... Dev - 12.9 @ 106 Sciby - 13.9 @ 104 Cosmo - 13.2 @ 108 Rick - 12.2 @ 108 anyone I missed?? don't take this as offensive... I just like playing guess the times... I'll put a cookie on it that I am pretty close... (hopefully everyone will go lower )

Hmmm... I could be talked into a bit of a skid... don't know about the exhaust though... you really need it off just to hear the car... I don't actually think I got any performance out of... but when you are racing a 10 second Ford Capri you can't hear anything with an exhaust on... But I would like to run again due to the fact it is cooler and when I was actually getting a 13.7 at the end of the day I had blown the tips off my spark plugs... crappy Denso Plugs... I've got NGK Iridiums now... So I don't know yet... just I'd rather save and get my microtech in so that it is tuned... Still slightly worried about the NA computer handling the boost... I swear the MAP sensor must be very confused cause no NA should have +ive figures...

Tyler... still playing are we... I am thinking of racing... but I haven't changed the Silvia since last time so there isn't much point... maybe I could aim for a bit more traction and we could sort out a lower time with the same power... but it really isn't worth it... I'm thinking I'll just wait for the intercooler and the Microtech and come out and set a good time... I need to get my act together because Pete and Tone are beating me at the second... I can't let that go on for too long... I might even quite imports and head back to MOPAR MUSCLE... (that's a Valiant all you Bogans... ) But tyler it could happen if I get excited... there are still quite a few cars going from the Spank Stable... including Sciby and Dev... I'm trying hard to get Tone there too... but we'll see... It should be good to see Rick hit the track again... I am keen to see those no. fall... a T51R and I think Theo has got troubles Rick... I think you should Max out your credit card... don't listen to Sciby rambling in the paper...

Actually what I really need from all you internet heads is a little bit of info on 4.5 Ltr Petrol GU Patrol Motor... I need a wiring diagram of the ignition system... in particular the wiring of the distributor... It is a CAS/distributer in one with the coil packs in built... it has 8 pins on the distributer and we are not sure which wire is which... anyone got any skills to find me the info... We are getting really close with the Big Patrol... We have even changed to a High mount Custom JC Performance Engineering manifold... just that CAS to go and we have all systems go... oh... except we have to finish the custom plenum too... You skyline boys all think a 3 ltr bottom end is the go... we reckon if your gonna do it... go 4.2... do you reckon we could fit a 4.2 in a GTR??? maybe brocky cutter would be the best man to ask that... anyway the moral of the story is can someone please get me the ignition diagram of a 4.5 Petrol GU Patrol... thank you...

Actually Matt I beg to differ... he did not even rev his motor until I pulled up and he looked at me... then he started Rev'n his motor... but yeah... other than the fact that he looked right at me he wouldn't have even known I was there...

Hey Mega GTS-4... that thing sounds really cool... are you happy with then end result or are you going to keep modifying the RB26... I think it is a great way of getting a GTR... and because it is all it a GTS body everyone thinks it is just another skyline... little do they know... The other good thing happening at the moment is the 88-89 R32 GTR's that are available from many importers cheap... particularly prestige motorsport or the likes... I was thinking that a cheap R32 that had a big list of mods would be really cool... even if it came over and the RB26 had some serious issues with blowby and the like... perfect time to build a RB30 bottom end... massive horsepower and a 4WD... I like the sound of that... maybe it is time to sell the old Q with Boost... although it has been a faithful rig and I would like to get it down to the 12's before reassigning it too light track duties... (I love the Clubsprint Meets at Ipswich) anyway I hope you guys are all running at the 16th... and if not atleast come and say Hi... check this out www.garagespank.tk check the members out... if you see this crew at the drags come and say Hi...

Actually if my 'cooler turns up in time I might have to go on the 16th... my car is like twice as fast at night than it is in the day... A nice cool August day and a nice shiny new intercooler could be the perfect thing for some fun and games at the track... Dev I am bulk keen to see how you go at the Drags... these All Wheel Drive things shouldn't have to much traction trouble... not to much skill involved.... what is it.... limiter.... dump.... at least it looks like you got skills... I'm hearing those magical no. Dev 12.99 that is a 12 in anyone's books... actually I am hoping it won't take to much to talk Tone into running... I would think it will run a low 13 now... he beat me by a car lenght and has a heap more in tuning to go yet... so that should be good if we can get it sorted for the 16th... the problem is all these people that are so worried about everyone else that they won't go to the drags so they can say "oh yeah my car runs the numbers... " but yet they never just have the simple fun of racing... weither it runs 11's or 19's no one really cars as long as you have fun... and that is what I am trying to get Tone to recognise... he is worried that the Cosmo has a Reputation and if it isn't full tuned and running like 12's someone will think it is junk... I say let them think it is Junk but they'd want to be packing one hell of a peice of machinery to top him on the street after some more little tuning mods... And I really want to see these preludes run as well... I like the VTEC motors... I raced a 1.6 VTEC Civic when my Silvia was still non-turbo... I beat it... but it was still cool... 1.6 and it never left my door... pretty impressive.... although Boost is better...

Hey at our prime garage spank was cruising with 13 Cars... that is a good effort for just a little get together for Tone on the virginal run of the Cosmo... Man that thing goes... although I am keen for a rematch... hell I might have to throw some more money at my car... Actually at least I did that commodore over... crappy VL turbos... Although apparently that is a nice one... I even had time to pull the clutch in and grab some more revs to race him... that is almost ashame... but that is what you get for owning a barge that doesn't have a V8 (just thought I better recognize that Vals have the fat ass... although at 1380 Kg... they are lighter than Jays Taxi!! )

Hmmmm.... I leave for one day and my performance thread has tax advice on it..... hmmmmm oh well that is cool with me.... Hey that was a good night thursday night... I had a blast... I don't know about that dude in the GTiR though... I promise you I didn't rev my motor and he still did a limiter launch... silly boy you should know that if I don't race there is something wrong cause I will race anything that moves if the cops ain't around... oh well expensive lesson I suppose...

hey Justin... just remember brother the Hilux owners have conquered the sandstone tracks... Luke was the only member of the Suzi crew on hand... (someone else had to big a night beforehand) and luke just wasn't confident enough to punt the Suzi over the Canyon of DEATH... well really it was a little washout... but it was tuff as... I think we should do another night run to 4 mile soon... I know Steve is keen... his hilux hasn't rolled over in the last month... he thinks he's going soft...

Actually one more quick note we are trying to organise a decent cruise tomorrow night at nine oclock from Shell Northside... the one right near north side plaza... park anywhere you can... hopefully we can organise a few cars... again it's open to anyone so bring you commodore... bring your 4 cylinder... bring your VTEC but better yet bring your BOOST... and we will meet you there... it should be a blast... we are always trying to organise cruises for all import heads... so if you live out of town and are headed into Rockhampton on a weekend or even a thursday, put a post out on this thread and we will try our hardest to organise a bit of a get together... it always makes Rocky a bit more interesting when you are cruising with some like minded car nuts...

It would be good to see a heap of the Rocky cars go down to this test and tune... I'd like to see the Pizza Haven Silvia go... and anyother little imports around... any VTEC boys going down? I want to see what one of these little pocket rockets can do... What about Nat's GTiR... She should try to beat Nathans best time... that would be funny to see... Are any of the Kaos WRX's going down... and what about Damian's S14 that was down at the last meet... he has done a bit of work to that... it would be good to see him get a few nice runs in... It will be cooler weather than the last meet so that will be good for all the turbo cars... and NA cars alike... feel the dense air and see those times come down... heck I'm talking myself into running on the 16th...

Anyway there is a bit of a move on to get cars going for the drags... is anyone else going or is it just a bit of a Spank meet... hopefully we should have a few cars there between Dev and Sciby... I might even have to race if I get my intercooler kit in time... maybe no front bar will be a good look... or I will just hack the crap out of mine and make the sucker fit... that is the plan anyway so why not before the drags... I hope the kit turns up... The Stanza is coming to the Test and Tune and he has a few little mods done... including a 33 gearbox behind his SR and a new clutch set up... apparently there is no chance of the new clutch slipping so hopefully this test and tune... one wheel in the air and a 10 second... oh yeah...
