  1. williamsf1 - is yours the newer version ? if apexi know about it perhaps they would replace under warranty ( useless if its a design fault ) but then again power fc's been around for god knows . unfortunately i have the old one ( no warrantys there ) symtoms of my one are- (second hand unit 10-15 yo? ) when you turn the key to acc the relays in the kick panel behind ecu would tick like crazy (sumtimes) relays in the boot would tick like crazy (sumtimes) replace power fc with standard ecu and problem solved end result i hav purchased power fc d-jetro
  2. wen i smashed my r33 gtst ( 2002) i had sum pvc piping in the garage and thought wat the hell why not.(standard cooler) quick fix until i could buy replacement parts. front end was fixed except for the pvc piping because its been on for 6months and not a sign of trouble. car was thrashed hard everyday. all said and done i dont think pvc is better than steel ( strenght - heat - crack resistent ) a small investment for peace of mind. imo.

  4. was making 330awkw (standard power fc) question ? is it ok to drive on standard ecu until my power fc d-jetro arrives? should i drive with avcr off ? minimum boost can i drive with avcr on ? 0.8bar suggestions?

  6. could it be the apexi AVCR? thats got a wire tapped into the ign wire and when you turn the car off it will stay on for a few seconds. my power fc had the same problem

  10. yeah got it, but this is next to the shocker tower. can only be seen when the seat is removed. where the seat belt retractor is its mounted next to it. driver side

  13. i took out my rear seats to put in a new parcel shelf and found a small unit mounted just next to the shocker tower on the driver side. looks like ecu of sum sort not sure? you can only see it when the seats are out. its got wiring loom connected and is about half the size of the hicas unit. i dont hav a pic because everything has been put back in. any suggestions?
  14. funny enough the d-jetro power fc is the same price as standard, why it costs more is that u have to buy the map sensor (about $200)

  16. yeah i heard rumours but who knows. perhaps its like they're closing down one of their divisions (eg; intercoolers ) due to all manufacturing being done in china taiwan eg. who knows
  17. i hav a avcr on mine with standard turbos. last dyno tune they could only hold just 1bar consistently. does this sound right?
  18. wat are the advantages of d-jetro over the normal power fc? i heard it has launch control? is it a wise choice for a road car?

  20. i've had the same ecu tuned on my car 4times but this was the only time it happened. unsure wat to do cas a tune costs money but wasted if it keeps resetting.
  21. i've had my power fc tuned for my r33 and its been working fine. until yesterday when i had another tune everything was fine. the tuner took it for a drive around the block and parked it. when i went to start it the car wouldnt start. found out the fc had reset for sum reason.. any one heard of this b4???????
  22. the white connector is that the one with a single green and yellow wire? there is another on with i think 5wires?
  23. i hav a r33 gtr and a-lsd light turned on, i had to turn the car off n on again for it to go away. this happened once in a while then more often. i gather it was getting worse until it just stayed on. found out that the pump was dead, openened it up to find the one of the magnets was broken and three of the four brushes were completely worn out. i bought a second hand unit which fixed the problem but it started to hav the same symtoms again. i gather that the replacement unit is also 10years old and cant be much better than my old one. i hav rung up nissan and nearly died when they told me its gonna cost nearly 6 THOUSAND dollars !!!! just to buy that part.. my problem is i cant find any place here in melb or australia who can repair it. i also noticed sumtimes when u turn the key to acc i can here the 4wd relay ticking endlessly. will try to plug in dianostics but unsure if that can identify any problems or electrical faults. any suggestions ????? confused....
