Soooo I was sitting at the lights the other day and this maxima pulls up next to me (late 90's model) and I looked at the wheels because they looked like S14 stockies. Upon closer inspection I looked at the stud pattern and though hang on a minute that looks like 5 x 114.3 and the brake were rather large aswell. This got me thinking, would it be possible to put these onto a ceffy like what is done with the other conversions ?? After all if you can fit Ferrari brakes to an S15 im sure this is possible too! Please inform me tech gurus....

Hey mate call Roshan @ Driftline 0425855540. I will be getting my conversion done here and he mentioned something about the speedo sensore having to be changed over. Might be able to offer some advice.

wickedy wickedy weepost LOL nice pics though. Always good to see. NB. That CA is interesting. I would that its like putting a 4AC in a commodore

If that fails and they have half a clue you can always try: "No thats not aftermarket, it came standard from factory like on the GTR's."

I was under the impression that a wheel alignment is a standard thing. Toe = 0 nothing special there. Maybe im wrong :

Cefiroz.com Contribution Thread!

EDIT: *************************************************** At the start of 2005 I began looking for a nice Cefiro because I wanted something different from all the S13 and R32 / 33 getting around. There were plenty of examples in Japan but finances were an issue as I had just decided to defer my uni course and find work. Then came those rumors about the changes to the 15 year rule. Luckily A31 Cefiro's were made from '88 > so there was still a chance of finding a nice one from Japan. Then one day I was browsing www.nissansilvia.com and saw a 1990 A31 for sale and the seller was located in Melbourne. It listed SE Suburbs as the location, so I was thinking SE suburbs will be Moorabin or something, (no where near me). So I ring the guy and turns out he is < 5 mins from my house and about 1 min from the missus' house. So I went and took a look the next day....this was to be my second car, but the first one I had purchased on my own. In hindsight, I should have checked a lot more things on the car than I did. I was so in love I put a deposit on it pending a RWC and my loan being approved. Cut a long story short, my loan was approved but the RWC was to prove to be a pain, with some items only being able to be sourced genuine from Nissan in Sydney. Between when I first looked at the car and pickup time I drove past everyday to look at it. Finally everything was sorted and I exchanged a bank cheque for my new baby! At the time of buying the car was fairly standard: M's K&N Pod (replaced with A'pex) BOV (now removed) Nardi Wheel (favourite part of the car) 16inch AVS Wheels Blitz Boost Gauge Blitz Turbo Timer Recently completed RB20DET replacement (still with 90 day warranty) Tein Coilovers 180sx Front Seats In the last year or so I have only done a few modifications, some of them through need rather than want. Current list of mods including the above: Extreme HD cushioned ceramic clutch Brand new clutch master and slave cylinders 40mm Alloy radiator Water temp gauge Full Uras Kit Bleed Valve Everyday I find something new to buy for it, if only funds would cooperate. Future plans include SR20 conversion (inspired by too_much_boost article), full suspension, LSD, etc. -
2 things I have heard about flaring: 1: The door is very close to the arch minimising the amount of flaring. 2: 'Apparently' there is a structual bar that runs vertically from the middle of the guard. 3: Excessive flare will cause paint cracking. 4: At a certain point the guard cannot be pulled OUT and further and ends up lipping upwards instead. Use the wheel offset calc to work out just how far they are going to stick out from your current wheels. Mine are 16 x 7 +27 and are a little less than flush with the guard (no flaring). Maybe use that as a base. Seeing as how im bored at work I thought I would work it out for you: Front: Based on my 7inch + 30 The clearance from stut housing to the inside of the wheel will be 32mm LESS The outside edge of the wheel will EXTEND an extra 32mm Rear: Based on my 7inch + 27 The clearance from stut housing to the inside of the wheel will be 59mm LESS The outside edge of the wheel will EXTEND an extra 43mm Mine currently almost rub on the front (with chucky tires) and NO WAY the back would have the required 59mm gap on the inside.

Like you said spacers are the only way and obviously flaring because they stick out. The reason that they hit is because of the high offset, meaning there is a lot of rim on the inside from the hub. Research ur rims before purchase people !!
-
google..."wheel offset calculator" the problem you will have with wide wheels that have a high offset, ie +38 is that they will rub on the inside (coilover). In which case you will end up having to get spacers.

Currently running those white rims that everyone has AVS or something. 16 x 7 +30 F 16 x 7 +27 R Wanna get those Gram 57F pro on ns.com 18 x 9 +19 F 18 x 9.5 + 18 R To dream a lovely dream

Split dump & front from BATMBL in the traders section. Be careful of some split dumps on the market, as the performance gains arnt worth the crappy chinese metal they are made from.

Tell you the truth it looks like someone just photoshopped a wonder kit on there and painted it origin color. : Although rear bar is 'pudgier' around the edges. I will wait to see more pics before i go ahead and buy anything.
