  1. So I have to go to Nissan? I was told there was an engine that was the same size BE bearings. Maybe the CA18DET?
  2. PM'd you Mark. Are the RB20DET big end bearings the same as SR20DET ones? I think the ones in my Cefiro are on their way out and I'm having trouble finding the RB20 listing over here.....
  3. Drove it for 30 odd miles today, and apart from a little seepage from the pump, it seems to be loads better now.
  4. But then I wouldn't have to keep topping it up. It's deffo coming from the front system. I'm off for a long test in a bit to see how it is. Many thanks Duncan
  5. Yep, they're the two I have removed. One from the rear of the pump, and the one to the reservoir. I'll take the rest off once this leak is sorted. Thanks for the offer, but I'm halfway across the globe:D
  6. Might just try fitting an electric power steering system instead. Should save power and maybe stop the car from stalling at junctions every now and then.
  7. Well, it's coming from somewhere:D Can't tell exactly where as it sprayed about a litre out yesterday, so I've taken the vanes out of the rear of the pump to see if that'll help. I don't see how it could come out of the rear output hose that is disconnected, (where I thought it was)seeing as how the return to the reservoir is removed and blocked up too. Is there a feed from anywhere else into the rear system apart from those two? Thanks Mitch
  8. Okay, removed the rear (Hicas) output from the power steering pump and return to the reservoir. It is now lashing fluid all over the place, even after a short run. Will this be alleviated by removing the internals from the rear of the pump, or will an S13 CA18DET power steering pump with the one outlet fit directly in its place? I'm not sure if it's leaking due to excess pressure caused by removing the rear line and plugging the outlet, but it's a bit of a coincedence if it is.
  9. Right, blocked the rear outlet from the pump, and also the return to the reservoir. Haven't yet swapped out the Hicas rack, but there is Power Steering fluid pissing all over from somewhere or other. I thought it was from the main return to the reservoir, so replaced it with a braided hose, but after taking it for a run out, there's an explosion of fluid all under the engine, hoses, suspension-everywhere. Is there a possibility that the rear outlet being blocked is causing excess pressure in the system?
  10. Cheers mate, will do I'll trace all the pipes from the back end via the Hicas block and up to the pump then....
  11. Is the R33 pump a direct replacement? Which is the Hicas outlet on the R32 pump? Thanks again Mitch:)
  12. That's great, I think that's what I've been searching for. I have a R32 GTST. Is this a similar setup to the GTR? Also, can I use the original pump, or what is an alternative pump to use? To clarify, can I remove eveything bar what goes from the reservoir to the pump, to the rack and back to the reservoir? I have a couple of metal plugs to go with the 2 spacers and 2 domed nuts from the locking bar kit. Where do I use them? Thanks Mitch
  13. Hi, new to the forum:D I've got an R32 GTST which is used mainly for drifting. I have a lock bar with two spacers, two dome nuts and four copper washers. Where exactly does the fluid system get capped? I gather the rack is swapped for the bar and rear lines are removed, but there are quite a few pipes and junctions at the front and that's the bit I'm stuck with. What else can I remove? It's not going to go back on, so reversability isn't an issue. Many thanks in advance for any tips, and pics would be really helpful. Mitch
