  1. I recently bought a pair of Nissan calipers which I think are from a skyline front cut. Im not able to tell from what model.

These calipers use a DB1170ULT (bendix) pad, I've tried them on a 296mm disc and they look to be the right size. It's hard to tell with the numbers stamped on the caliper.

Searching this forum and the net found the following:

    300ZX TT front

    32 GTR calipers?

    Everyone's knowledge is most appreciated.

  2. ACL now tell me that there FORGED race series pistons are only rated for 10PSI

Theres a reason why they are rated at 10 PSI, they aint forged pistons!

I've been selling ACL parts for years and they are yet to make forged pistons. Someones been feeding you bs.

Alot of people take the RACE series brand to be forged when they are a better grade of cast.

  3. My understanding is that you need an adapter?

The Jun adapter has been mentioned and quoted at crazily high numbers like $600.

Is there any way around this?

Im using an R34 GTR oil pump with the JUN adaptor.

AS far as I know Greenline sell the adaptor for approx $200.

Other costs like machining/labour would add to the price but I dont see how it could cost alot more. I asked the question you are asking a few pages ago and found the answers myself.

    I'm doing the machining/labour myself.

  4. But yeah as TJ said you'll need the bellhousing and fork etc from a pull-type gearbox.

For a GTR box is it possible to drill and tap into the bellhousing?, My bellhousing looks to have 2 areas where a push slave cylinder could be used.

Will the push fork fit into a "pull" bellhousing and vice versa or is there more to it than that.

  5. Yes it sure is, but the problem is forgetting that ur alarm is on and getting stun by ur own alarm. (it would leave u on the ground helpless and the car theif could take ur keys).

How do I know all this? it's coz I'm trialing something along those lines.

And yes a thief could smash the window and open it from the inside. Hehe wait till he puts his arse on the seat.

Or there is the trunk monkey, the theft retrieval model I believe :P

  6. My work used to deal Envy but not anymore due to too many mistakes on their behalf.

Not the best importer when it comes to parts.

Tweakit at Mona Vale seems to have more stock and fairer prices than Envy.

    *My 2 cents worth

  7. I'm curious into whats involved in a dry sump set up.

I don't know enough about them to weigh up if it's worth doing.

I'm slowly building up a 26/30 thats estimated at 600hp going into a 240Z that will see some weekend street and track driving.

    How do they work?

What does it mean by 4 and 5 stage pumps?

Can a normal RB sump be modded to suit a dry sump?.

What price range would I be looking at for a simple setup?

Does anyone have pics and experiences using dry sumps?

Thats all the questions I can think of atm.

  8. I know there has been plenty of talk about the different oil pumps.

    1. Does anyone have pics and/or the part number of the larger style oil pump? Nissan keep asking for a vin and engine number that I don't have.

    2. When it comes to machining the collar etc.. what areas need to be machined?

    3. Is this the drive collar needed? *see attached - screen capture from Greenlines site.

    4. Is this what the collar looks like when on the crank? http://rbmotoring.com/gallery/album36/abf?full=1

Note: http://rbmotoring.com/gallery/album297/aab This r34 crank looks similar to the collar

Zoom's latest project, the 33 with the 32 GTR motor shit itself due to the oil pump shattering. It's got me thinking twice about a 32 pump.

I'm hoping someone out there knows I dont want to be the first to find out. :)
