  8. i had that problem with a different car of mine. While you are pulling the lever get someone to push the bonnet down, then it may just open.
  9. My gearbox was fine, and after i changed my transmission oil with shell synthetic oil the following day my second gear started to crunch. I thought it was just maybe thicker oil than what was in before (dont know what was in before). I took to workshop and they replaced with lubrimax agritrans however it still crunches in the morning. Its weird how it just started happening after i changed my oil, it was fine before.... so should i just try a different oil ? is fixing syncros big job ?
  10. I live like near city, but i dont mind where i get it done as long as it dont cost heaps and they do a good job haha. cheers for info guys

  12. not sure bout strut brace, but just get engine damper from just jap, or something. I think if you buy from eBay, the just jap one is cheaper than if you get from their website. well was last time i checked ..
  13. i originally had my tubro timer mounted on the panel under steering wheel, but was always shitting myself and taking it off when there was a breatho and yanked it off. I now mounted it in the little tray under stereo, and the plan is if someone checks my car to just turn it off and put my phone in front of it. if my phone gets moved i might be screwed, but my car looks stock from inside so i rekon my chances are good
  14. just try and make car stock. it wont be much work. just disconnect everything etc. they defected your exhaust for being to lound i presume? go to exhaust technology just of goodwood rd, im pretty sure they will test ya exhaust to see how loud and give ya document for free. thats what they said when i thought i needed one before i went to regency. That way they wont test ya exhaust at regency. or ya could just stuff muffler full of steel wool haha...
  15. just get like alarm/immob. Its the first thing i did after i got my car. i was at a mates place one night and there were 5 cars parked out the front, my 32 and 4 other average cars. all of them got broken into except mine, as they saw the flashy light and just didnt wanna risk it. so it pays to get an alarm and at least 2 immob installed. after reading all this theft stuff im thinkin of geting the removable steering wheel thingy.. just for exta extra security
  16. I rekon polo is better than shirt keep it simple is best otherwise too many bits here and there.. also polo is prob cheaper than shirt, and we can get our names on them we could have like either white or blue shirts.. white shirt with blue and red writing or blue with red and white...
  17. i rekon no.3 is best and also maybe the "SAU" sticker for the quater window
  18. Geez hope they dont introduce any cray crap like that here.. Imagine getting your pride and joy crushed after all the work youve put into it.. I remember when i first got my 32 gts4 i tried launch and since i hadnt done b4 i spun the wheels oh so little and after a cop flashed his lights and caught me few hundred metres down the rd.. i saw him following so of course i slowed down. when he stopped me they were ases as to be expected. they were like saying that if my wheels spun for extra second they would of impounded my car under hoon rules.. and then they were checking out my car for 'defections' they said u have some oil in your engine bay. i was like yah i did an oil change like last wk and spilled a bit. and i had only just imported my car and passed regency the week before hand. So i was like, my car is stock, i have the regency slip in my glove box. Then they stopped being asses.. turns out they gave me fine for un necessary noise... the thing is they said we could see your sheels spinning from 100m away.. and it was like 11pm at night and i was the first car at the lights with about 6 behind me, and the cops were 100m behind that.. go figure? not on topic but thought id share my story
  19. At regency pretty much every mod is 'illegal' cz they dont know what half of them are. I though on the street you are ok with most mods, as long as like the sus isnt too low, or you have bov, or super loud exhaust. Im thinking of getting boost controller in near future, probably an in cabin one like avc-r. I will prob mount on dash, and if get pulled over by cops, just put it in my pocket or something. My turbo timer is also hidden, as most cops look for them. when i first went thru regency, my 32 was next to a 180. The mechanic inspecting the 180 asked the mechanic looking at mine if these cars had the same engines, as he wanted to check something in the 180.. i was like, OMG.... they pretty much say everything is illegal, but thats only if you have to take your car there...
