any help available??

hi everyone. i am going to do an rb26dett conversion on my na r33 soon and just need some advice on a few things. it mould be much appreciated if anyone who has done this conversion or an rb26dett conversion in another car before to give me a few pointers. first up i was wondering what ECU to use. i noticed that power fc's come in a few different models for rb26. the two ive heard of are with serial numbers PFC GTR331 and PFC RB26. i was wondering if the PFC RB26 would suit my application. if not what would you reccommend? Also would you reccommend modifying the 26 sump to get rid of the front diff and do the other things needed, or selling the 26 sump and buying another sump without a front diff (rb25?) and modify that to fit the rb26 engine. It would be appreciated if someone knows anyone who makes sumps for this kind of conversion would be able to point me in the right direction. If you think i have overlooked any aspects or might not realise something vital in getting the engine in and working well please post up and let me know. i have done a few searches already with alot of usefull info and even more useless info coming up. please, if you want to do the usual and tell me to do a search, please dont just say "do a search" please give me some pointers on keywords and forums to search as sorting through 100's of pages of threads that contain good info but none that applies to my situation is very frustrating. thank you to anyone who has any input or info for me Eli

IMO going by the prices in this thread buying the boost controller mentioned, a guage and pod would set you back between $100 and $120 if you installed it yourself which isnt too hard. if you go the other way and buy just the controller and get a shop to install and set it up to a nominated boost setting it could cost around the $150 mark. Thats already around a $30 saving for the money concious 12345. Although i dont agree that a tool such as a boost controller is rice, if its the "Rice" factor your worried about mount it somewhere inconspicuous so no one teases you for being a "Rice Boy" lol. regarding the diff, what exactly is the problem with it and do you know approx how much it will cost to fix/rebiuld if neccessary. very interested in it. thank you, eli

hey, im looking for some coil overs. i was wondering if anyone had any G4 coilovers from just jap and what they thought of them. i know they are cheap and dont expect the to be as good as higher priced coil overs such as tein's. i am looking for street use out of them and really like the idea of hight adjustable as apposed to fixed height springs and struts. any feedback on these coil overs would be much appreciated. thanks, eli

im lookin for some new wheels and have found some i like, they are 18x7.5 4x114.3 +40, does an offset of +40 sound right. ill be buying them and getting them shipped to me so i dont want to get them and then find out they dont fit. thanks for any help, eli
