Is there much of a difference in Coil packs? For a non turbo GTS 1996 skyline for daily driving?Done about 185,000km so far. I have one starting to fail which will be replaced . Although the others seem ok is it reasonable to replace them all.Do they wear out? getting the mechanic to do this several times isn't cost effective but I don't know how long I can expect these to last under normal conditions. If I could do this myself, rather than pay the mechanic, I would only replace the faulty one.

The tyre mechanic told me the rear set-up of my M35 stagea series 1 Axis Autech is not suited to Australian roads . The Japanese camber and Australian road camber are different and this is causing huge excessive REAR wear. One quarter of the inside left rear tyre is bald after after 12,000km. The rest of the tyre is just roadworthy He told me this is the third stagea he has seen this happen to. Is he right ? He mentioned Pedders that could fit a kit? I would like some information to understand what is actually happening. The right rear is worn but still road worthy and not so significantly worn compared to the left , but significantly different to the front The front tyre-wear seems ok Given the excessive wear (bald) I am guessing the rear left was not road worthy at 10,000km. Having 18inch 245 low profile tyres, this will quickly become an expensive replacement process. ( around $350 / tyre) I am running tyres between 40 and 45 psi drove to Darwin and back 7000km and the other 5000km on city highway between 80 and 100kmh. What is the solution ? How expensive is the solution and will it be a 100% fix. Are others having this problem?I haven't read of this anywhere!!! thanks

Which is safer for a trolley Jack? Jacking the front of the car followed by Jacking up the rear or vica versa? Then lowering the rear flowed by the front Or does it make no difference as I want to put the car on to 4 stands.????

It appears the sound while driving is that of the engine surging but the movement of the car itself is smooth and constant. Could this be a belt slipping?

Received an email from interstate that my 97 skyline GTS( non turbo) running on LPG is surging while driving. No other details unfortunately. car(LPG) was tuned in December with iridium plugs and has traveled 7000km since then. What could be causing this and what follow up questions should I ask to try to pinpoint the problem

I have a red-light traffic infringement photo with the light indicating orange. I am turning right at 12km/hr. I will try to speak to someone tomorrow but what does my photo tell you guys? Going Darwin to Brisbane.Last trip several places had run out.

Where I am Premium Bp unleaded fuel cost $1-80 with the other unleaded fuels $1-60 and the lowest octane at $1-50. I am advised to run only the highest octane rating eg Bp Premium unleaded which I always do. However my next trip will take me into areas where they dont have the premium brand. Not sure how long I may be doing this either. What advice can you give re running on a differetn fuel? What possible damage may result? What sort of mixture can I get away with, if any at all? My skyline can run both but this car cant according to the specs. Why is that?

I have some square grey things stuck in the interior roof near the rear door of my M35 series 1. It looks like something might clip onnto them, though I am not sure . What are they for?

What is your LPG fuel consumption. Driving style Mostly sedate. At what rpm is a standard turbo supposed to kick in? Apoprox 90% highway and 10 % city. I average 6.1 km/litre. I think I have a LPG consumption problem. What do you think?

What does the term cruise fuel trim mean . I have no idea what that means

if the ECU is reset on CAR A, will there be any engine performanc or fuel performnce difference compared to a sedate driver ( Car B) and an aggresive driver( Car C); when all 3 cars are then driven in an identical way. Diferent forums comment about the ECU learning but others indicate the ECU is fixed at the factory and doesnt learn.I did ask somethinmg similar ,prior, but just need further clarification.

new software file installed for the lpg ecu and I fianlly managed to clear the orange light.thanks I have a LPG sequential vapour injection whch gets me around 6.6km /litre when I drive econmically but still have some minor LPG issues which wont be resolve duntil I return to Brisbane.

Will this method clear all enginde codes. I maanged to do this twice successfully out of 20 attempts. Why doesnt it work each time . the engine warning light is still on. I wait at least 10 seconds before turning on the igntion.

2002 M35 Axis autech An orange icon which looks like an engine block(squarish) , top rhs next to the tachometer suddenly came on while I was driving to work at 80km/hr this morning. I had the engine oil(full synthetic) and filter changed 5000km ago ( 8 weeks ago). No obvious leaks detected with a quick check but I am very concerned. Havent had a chance to do anything as it made me late for work. Whats it telling me? Is this sensor connected to my on board computer ( in Japanese) which tells me when to have a service etc. If there is no problem how do I get rid of it? thanks in advance.

A better question might be Which are the Best street tyres to entrust my life to ? This might be a $100 more per tyre than getting the best dollar value for a tyre.. How much are you not preprard to pay for a tyre if it stops 2m earlier in the dry and 6km in the wet or sideslips at 10km higher speed? I found the Potenza very good but at 28000km usage I made a trade off foer wear and tear and picked a longer wearing cheaper tyre for replacement but at the time I was cash flow short. Having done that I think I made a mistake as I now keep wondering how bad or good is this tyre. Its up near the top , but small differeces at high speed can be fatal.

From commnets made I believe the plug I must be referring to relates to the LPG system recently installed. The tuning will be from the LPG set up which piggybacks off the ECU. I also found out I will be using teamviewer for the remote connection process.

Thanks everyone. yes there is a plug coming from the dash somwhere but I assumed it was part of the Stagea management setup. Duncan I would be interested to know what km /.. around city on highway I have rarely used petrol since ownership but 15km/100km sounds about average form what I have read
