  1. already covered in this thread back a few pages in lots of detail, pretty sure the major diff is the OS rb30 uses the rb26 block, and the nissan rb30 uses the rb30 block. but as said look back a fair few pages

    hahaha thats a lame response.

Trev, i cant help you out i just had to laugh at slow-r31.

pretty sure the OS 3.0 has different pistons, crank, rods, i havent looked at it in detail. as i said, just laughing

  2. NO NEW ITEMS

    ...Snip....

    No selling alcohol

    No selling of pornography

    ...Snip....

Pffftttt what kinda rules are they :headspin:

I dont really like the idea of thumbnails, cuz if a user doesnt post then u get that homo 'no image to display' and the rule about not asking for pics is lame.

Sometimes a user will post stuff for sale and forget to put pics.

It should be a rule that if you are selling something you MUST include a pic... sooner or later.

or rather, pics can be requested if not posted, but once pics are availablke they are posted into the original post instead of emailed to individuals.

  3. The new photo post is of no real benefit

    1) For sale items do not need to be posted with thumbnails on the main page of what they are. PLUS it looks scrappy as when the 'No image to display' icon appears

    2) People could attach photos in the OLD section.

    3) Yes, More people used the old forum based for sale

    4) The posting in for sale items is neccessary to ask questions about items and to request pics if they havent been posted. The new photo post doesnt enforce pics to be posted, so its of no advantage

    5) please revert back to the old system :P

  4. You did a great job on the re-design,

But i'd go back to forum based in a heart beat.

The only reason why its growing on people is because you either use it, or go without.

I will continue to use photo post classified, but only because the forums based sale section is closed down. I'd really urge for the old method to be re-instated.

*these are my opinions only and count for SFA :)*

  5. Prolly shootout mode which is made to compensate for inconsistensies on the day of the dyno run.Correct me if i am wrong.

    You are wrong.

The 511hp was made at Perth Auto Salon using a hub dyno.

Autosalon figures should be taken with a large grain of salt, cuz in the end, their only purpose is to put on a show.

The 438hp was on a dyno dynamics dyno in shootout mode. Which is a fairer representation of the cars true power. Since Dyno Dynamics dynos are widely used when comparing HP figures.

The first thread said 511rwhp on stock injectors, people questioned the figure and wanted to know how it could be done on stock injectors.

It was then acknowledged by the workshop in question that 511rwhp was a BS figure and the cars true power was ~450hp, which has been shown on the recent dyno.

This whole debarcle is over a big HP figure being made on stock injectors, people questioning how it can be done on stock injectors and other people not telling how it was made.

I'm just here to enjoy the resulting show :)

  6. i still greatly prefer the old method of for sale in the forum based, not photo post.

but Gordon here has done a top job! at least i wont cringe as much when i see the nice new template :)

As for trader rating... It requires both parties to take the time to make the trader rating, If you want to run a trader rating it should be enforced. I peddeled a dick load of stuff on these forums and my rating is 0. It doesnt worry me, but if the ratings are there, they should be enforced??

  7. LOL...for gods sake you are in a workshop...take the tie off:)  i flinched when i thought you were about to lean over the engine bay, i have weak nerves so pls dont lean over a running engine with your tie on :)

Seems to come onto boost nice and hard....what boost was the thing running?

I too cringed like a little girl when i saw dude in tie lean over the engine bay!!

  8. 1. put magic1's car on a dyno dynamics dyno in shoot out mode, post dyno graph

    2. Congrats on squeezing 511*hp from the stock injectors

    3. I dont understand why everyone is having a whinge!!! Does it really matter to you that much that Steve is claiming this power on stock injectors? Do you really want to push stock injectors or would you rather put larger cc injectors in??

I know that i have forked out $$$ for my engine, i aint gonna be a cheapskate and not go for larger injectors for insurance

    4. Steve and SydneyKid need to get it on and be done with... toooooo many sly remarks and personal attacks going on in ALL these threads when these 2 disagree with each other.

    *non DD dyno

  9. Excellent work!!!

Mine is due for collection next thursday, so hopefully i can be joining you in the RB30 goodness soon. I've been 7 months without a car.. so i'm in for a world of learning and grinning :D

Get some footage of the thing driving ;)

  10. what sort of cams would be good on an RB30DET using an RB25DET head with NO!! VCT.. its been welded up.

I take it that with the hydraulic lifters i'm limited to ~8.5mm lift.

I am worried if i get a set of Tomei poncams they wont be 'ideal' for me as they are designed to work WITH VCT... but i dont/wont be running that...

anyone shed some light for me?

    :D
