Gary thats good info that has been repeated alot around here i have noticed, BUT
does the inlet cam have 4 bolts + locating pin or does i just have 1 big bolt to hold the VVT gear on?
What sort of cams would be suitable in an RB30DET situation.. Limited to 8.5mm lift due to rb25det head?
Reason why i have concerns with the Tomei cams is that they are made to work with the VVT, so therefore you would still bolt the stock cam gear on thus would have the incorrect bolt pattern for my HKS RB cam gear...

si if i was to purchase a set of Tomei pon cams will i experience the same problem with the inlet cam shaft being a different bolt pattern?
Lukey boy: How can I bolt on my HKS adj cam gear to the inlet... the simplest and easiest method?
I am wanting to put a set of cams into this motor, but I want to know what is going to work on the motor... Your thoughts on the Tomei cams for RB25det ?
Car is being re-assembled and have hit this problem now... trying to sort it out.. All these slow downs shite me off
Oh yeah need something else PMing you
EDIT: looks like PM is down

what is the tuners experience @ mercury?
my car is nearing completion so i'll be needing a run in tune, and then eventually a full power tune. Mercury are close to home. My car has an EMS Dual Sport ECU which a few previous workshops have had problems tuning with it, Again i dont want to have to pay for someone to learn how to tune an EMS while i pay for it.
-
I think i'll have to go look at it myself and possibly take some photos as i havent heard of anyone mentioning this problem before.
Blind_elk: Its not naturally aspirated, its got a GT35r hanging off the side of it
Edit: I am wanting to put Tomei Poncams into it, so this may solve my problems.. But i am unsure how the Tomei cams will go in a 3L application... As they are made to work with the VCT it concerns me that they might not be suitable for the RB30DET setup
-
I am told its an R33 RB25det head.
The inlet cam has all that VCT crap on the front of the wheel. I havent seen this myself, but my mate who was putting the cam gear on said once he pulled the VCT stuff off there was just a single bolt straight down the guts of the cam gear holding it to the cam shaft... I thought this was weird as i thought they have 4 bolts plus a locating stud?
any more info?

I am after 2x GT35R with .82 housing... these still $1900 each?
what is the availability on them?
Can you supply the 1.06 exh housing for these turbos? if so what price?
Cheers
Dave

I have the rb25 head on an Rb30 block... VCT has been disabled...So how can i put an adjustable cam gear on the inlet cam? The bolt pattern isnt the same?

nismo33 - This guy has been busy!!
do_the_busstop - how did you get that info? noticed that's ur second post on SAU.....how did u know about this dori-scammer?
Since your a bit slow on the uptake...
another forum member who must have access to these details has created a new account and posted the information for our benefit.
the user name do_the_bus-stop would be tied to when Mines_Datsun crashed his 33 GTR into a bus stop.

I know who do_the_busstop is, and it's not Alex... It's a respected member's alter ego, and the details are correct
i reckon i have a good idea who it is too
good work i say

search the forums, there ARE links to downloads that are still active
i have seen a friend of a friends brothers cousin download it, R32, R33 all models in PDF, scanned from a real manual...

is that a 3" inlet?
i had a TD06-19c on my rb20... made 270hp @5000rpm @ 15psi with a boost leak.. (10psi @ 5500rpm
that was using the 8cm2 exh housing... i would opt for the 8cm2 housing on an rb20... it'll hae a bit of lag and a nice punch as it comes on boost, i imagine the 10cm2 would be rather laggy.. mine was modded for internal wastegate... i bought it from WHITE 32

you ADVERTISED the pump as a Bosch 044
you sent a Bosch 535
You falsely advertised your product and then you failed to deliver goods exacting to those advertised in the for sale ad.
Therefore you ARE liable for legal action, you ARE at fault, you are DODGY and a LIAR!
Damien: Why have you provided him with 2x positive feedback?
-
I guess i am lucky.. i had a wrong item sent to me and i was able to work it out with the seller and got a full refund, much credit to that person.
He would not refund my money until he received the item back...I was unsure about that method but went ahead with it... In this case i would not do that!!!
My suggestion... Maybe another SAU member who lives near this guy can accept the fuel pump on your behalf and obtain the cash from him in person?
doridori32... you are doing nothing but delaying and stuffing Damien around. Your trader rating only has a few points because you ask people to give you the rating.. Mine is ZERO but i have traded with HEAPS of people on the forums... most of us are too lazy to fill it out or forgetful and dont beg for a false rating.
Give him a full refund, you are dodgy and falsely advertised your product, therefore you are liable for legal action if Damien chooses that path.

Gradenko: I'd be interested to know how they managed to put that cam gear on the inlet cam!
Does anyone know anyone with Tomei Poncams installed in an RB25DET head? I want to know what the profile is on the front of the cam to hold the cam gear on... Is it 4 bolts and a locating pin, or is it the same as stock with a single bolt??
