The parts in my engine were wholesale and cost most of 7k the pistons alone cost the best part of 2k so I dont know where your guy was getting his prices from!
I would rather buy a stock RB25 with good compression results rather than have a cheaply built 20
Rebuilding an RB20 is not better than buying a RB25...plus for 6k you wouldn't even get the parts for a extensive rebuild...and that is before anyone has even touched a spanner
Shane got a low k RB25 for my car for 2k....no turbo but who cares they are crap anyway!
And I can tell you that a R32 with an RB25 is a crap load of fun!
Prolly not.....In light of my hankeing for good brakes I dont think I can afford it anymore....that and I was only gonna use it on the track...I should just work on a better way of keeping the temps down!
A mechanic I know would say anyhing else is a sin!
