RON-15H I tried to email but it was returned and said undeliverable to you. Is that email address correct? -
You probably shouldn't give ur address to ever1 if you have a $120k car in your garage :sly: free bump

BTW forgot to mention that front bar needs replacing as it is cracked quite badly and possibly cheaper to replace than repair. Something like this: would look better and stop less air anyways Note: THIS IS NOT A PIC OF MY CAR ^^^^^^^^^^ -
Sorry if i offended or pissed anyone off. Just saw he was using eclipse hu and splits and thought must be goin sq setup, that's why i was kind of curious about why the fusion gear?
-
Just ignore him..... he is a bit of a "ryder"
-
Just out of curiosity why does everyone buy fusion gear. I have heard only bad reports about the sq of fusion subs and speakers.
-
apparently from what i've heard mounting the same bov in different locations on i/c piping can give diff sounds.
-
Also when checking the plugs make sure they have the correct gap and that the temp range of the plug is suited to ur engine.

Hi, My mum (yes that's right my mum has gtr haha) anyway she was driving it today and everything was fine and then i am told all of a sudden the engine seemed to cut out for a part of a second as well as lost power steering abs etc and all warning lights on the dash came on and then she stopped, am unclear whether car stalled or cut-out or what cos i wasn't there. Anyway my dad tells her to just start it again and keep goin :chairshot so she started it and kept driving and it happened again but this time stopped for good, nothing works other than lights outside the car and by the sounds of it only stuff that doesn't go through ecu internal electronics etc... they checked fuses but none inside the car looked blown so have no idea. Perhaps all ecu's are fried???? They are getting the car trucked back home. Does anyone have any idea what could have happened and what could be wrong? My guess is something was shorting out but nothing has been touched on the electronics lately. Looks like might have to get power fc Thanks Jamie
-
Don't forget though to check how much it will cost you to get the safc installed as it needs to be spliced in the stock ecu whereas anyone can plug in the powerfc and select the base fuel map, i would recommend powerfc over safc if you can afford it plus with fc commander you can check all the duty cycles/knock sensor/temps and everything. yeah, mine had 3rd completely gone on the cluster and the other shaft but it could just be that it was flat shifted at high revs, plus it has big turbo, big locker and triple plate clutch which all makes a big strain on tha box doin 6k+ launches. Reco should be fine as long as you don't do anything stupid and someone good builds it. Jamie

GTS-T VSPEC Just out of curiosity how many k's are on ur engine? Completely stock internals so far? Jamie

hi, get on to any os-giken distributor. OS Giken make a cross cut gear set to suit the rb25det gearboxes that handle quite a lot of power, i am unsure about the shift quality with these gear sets though. Biggest factor would be getting someone very good to build the box, apparently manta racing services are good at building boxes? Just about all the big power gts-t's on this forum are still running stock boxes as far as i know though. Jamie

Hi, Just wondering what some peoples fc commanders read as peak knock when driving hard? What level should it stay under and what would be high enough to cause damage (shortened engine life etc..)? I have noticed mine has read up to 23 but more recently on fresh optimax only 13. What is acceptable as it has been tuned by a well known and reputable dyno tuner. Thanks Jamie

Hi all, Was trying to install gauges and accidentally crossed earth and headlights on 12v wires. :bonk: Anyways the guage backlights stopped working on all 4 guages, instrument cluster backlights don't work no more and the dimmer on the clock and air-con lights don't work anymore. THe headligts still work and the interior roof light still works. Had a look at fuse box but don't know how to tell what fuse is blown (if any) and which one should i be looking at? Is there anything else that could have blown? A fuse anywhere else perhaps? :whatsthat Thanks for the help Jamie

AS V-Spec said tyres and suspension setup have the biggest effect on this. Power delivery also has a part in this but not as much as the other two factors. My toyota has less power than my skyline (226rwkw) but when i had my slightly worn dodgy pirellis on it and very stiff suspension it would snap sideways and wheel spin in 3rd on dry bitumen as soon as it came on boost at about half throttle (~3000rpm). My skyline with drag suspension rather than drift setup has a big turbo (gt3037s) and very soft falken tyres but doesn't go sideways and wheelspin when it hits boost as easily as my toyota. You can put very stiff suspension in a silvia/180 and setup camber and caster for drifting and get it to wheelspin easily in 2nd with relatively stock engine. If you are just wanting to know how much power your car has as vspec said go to a dyno shootout or something (pretty cheap) or if you want to know how to get your car to do this just speak to a tuning shop and they should be able to advise what mods are needed. I have similair setup and have kept it to 1.2bar as i am unsure also of my internals. If it is tuned well at the 1.4 bar in australia you may as well leave it at that but if it hasn't been tuned yet in aus i would be turning it way down until u get the af ratios checked or get it dyno tuned. Heaps of places in bris can tune power fc. I would recommend taking it to a guy called Gavin Wood who is at labrador (he really knows his $hit and has built a lot of big dollar gtr's with excellent results), can't remember his business name but if you want it just pm me. Hi all, I have been looking for a while for someone in qld to tune my hks fcon v in my skyline and have had a lot of trouble finding anyone to do this. This I have been told is because hks will NOT give the equipment and software to anyone in aus except for bd4s in sydney until hks has their own outlets set up in australia. This is pretty much the same story in japan except most authorized dealers for hks in japan are allowed to purchase the equipment required. I have found out from a dyno tuner in Underwood in South Brisbane that he can get paul from bd4s in sydney (the only person who has been taught to use and given the hks tuning software in australia) to fly up and do a day of dyno tuning for him at his shop in underwood. If you have a hks fcon v / f con v pro / f con s etc... and you live in qld and want to get your car tuned let me know as he requires about 4 or 5 people to justify the costs of paul coming up to brisbane. Let me know by email at [email protected] if you are interested and i will give you any more details (prices will not be known till they have enough people definately interested. Thanks Jamie
