  1. Good to hear U lot back up and running so quickly. Good luck with the comp.
  2. Yeah, it's all cool. My response was similarly tongue in cheek.
  3. So, if you come into our shop chasing discount, then can we ask them for discount on lunches? I reakon I know what he'll say, and it wont be 'boys can ya do a fully sick choon on my commode wagon!'
  4. Something about a 10 foot pole......... I think the best way to answer that is to say that they have ceased trading and are no more. The make up of it's pretense are around at other places now. Keep this thread on target guys or it will be closed very quickly. When choosing a shop, be happy and content that what they tell you is feasable and possible, and that you know what will be happening to your car and where it will be, who will be driving it (if at all), are they insured, certified, qualified, experienced, and are they capable? Do you get your phone calls returned? Does anyone take the time to explain the options? Are they interested in more than your money? What does the workshop look like? Is it well equipped, well laid out, clean, tidy, efficient? Be realistic with your goals and you will be a happy chappy. Ultimately genuine advice comes from experience. Beware of Imposters and Pretenders.
  5. Yes for occ. health, safety and insurance reasons, everyone other than staff must be out of the workshop area in the designated viewing area. If something lets go, its bad enough mopping up the motor let alone the bodies! I think Bart snuck a peek at the action on his way to either get another, or loose another bourbon.........
  6. Good one. Autronic are in Melbourne, with the primary support base coming from Ray Hall in Cairns. I'd like to know who the 'head office' in Sydney is, cos it just doesnt exist. Maybe that's the reason it's taking so long! We never have problems with Autronic. Install it correctly and it works. Dont blame it for other areas of the car being lacklustre or inadequate. There are good dealers out there, and expert tuners. Dont blame the product because it isnt installed right or the shop cant tune it.
  7. why would anyone want to do that?
  8. I must have been away the day you came in for testing. We even put a casting couch in the office for such events!
  9. Dont expect to rock and and talk to him either anyone. He will be locked away in the climate controlled engine building room away from the public and interruption.
  10. Dont know exactly what cars he has done yet. They are'nt listed on his resume.
  11. Well, perhaps a description of your attributes and abilities might be timely........ I suppose an office chick that's interested in cars and doesnt mind being paid in mods and tuning is a good thing!
  12. Depends what you want done. Alignment is one thing. Set-up is another. All of the race and drift stuff we do is done in house.
  13. Totally unrelated to any other activities in the Perth Performance community, Josh Clowes (formerly of PSI and J-Spec) will be on board at Hyperdrive as of Monday. This add's another top-shelf technician and expert fabricator to the arsenal.
  14. Well, prior to this unfortunate event, we were already booked out to the end of February. We are more than happy to discuss taking over the various builds (and more than capable) that were underway at SST on an individual basis, but we certainly wont be dropping everything to help the needy whom fell into a hole they helped dig. Only problem now is were do we send all the Wolf customers??? There'll be no injector magic anymore. That secret dies with Steve.
  15. We have done several (in S13's!) just over the 310hp@wheels mark with LUMPYROM on board.
  16. Tops! Is that Baaa Baaa, Woof Woof, or perhaps Baawoof Baawoof?? That would make a top Avitar!
  17. Interesting....... We dont give any freebies. Workshop ****s must pay! It's also interesting that people can bag a premesis that they have only ever used for a quick dyno pull or plug swap........I mean that really is a good indication of a shops potential isnt it! Notice to all that I didnt mention any names here. Jeese, now I've started....... :headspin:
  18. Nice thread guys. I learnt nothing, but pulled several muscles laughing at the bullshit thrown out. Those of you with the shovel's, keep digging. The hole is getting deaper. We look forward Tristan and others coming to the Antilag dyno day. From my perspective, comparing his results on my dyno to those produced elsewhere will be interesting. Ours is always claimed to be lower than other 'shoot-out' accredited machines, but I have never seen anyone produce a genuine 'shoot-out' graph. Those familiar with 'shoot-out' will know what I mean. I am not suggesting tampering, I am just saying that I never see graphs come in that are certified by the scruitineer, so must be considered indicative. You also never see major power effecting items shown on the 'shoot-out' graphs produced elsewhere, for example boost, so you cant really gauge a valid comparison. Regardless, I like my dyno for it's purpose, which isnt to compare one shop against another. As a once Wolf dealer, I now send all Wolf enquiries direct to SST, as they are the Wolf masters and the only people I know of with the patience to deal with it. We are concentrating on other systems. For those interested, we have a R33 GTS plug-in ECU for sale, as the owner wanted something more than it would give. Perhaps some of the WOlf critics should tip some pennies in and see if you can figure out the magic and mysteries of the system. Of course you will have to direct all enquiries to the No1 Wolf dealer for support. It has been posted in the for sale classifieds for some time, yet we have had no enquiry or offer, which doesnt surprise me. I never saw anything in any Wolf sanctioned documentation regarding the injector trickery, nor ever received any assistance or hint as to what the magic is. One might suggest that the injectors, sequentially, batched, banked or whatever other configuration, are being fired once per crankshaft revolution, rather than once per engine cycle, but the truth may never be known. It doesnt really matter. It works for them. Obviously if all you can afford is $1395 for an ecu and you cant afford correctly sized injectors, then it is a good alternative if you can live with it. With that said, on such limited budgets, I cant see how anyone can justify trying to pull extreme power out of a generally tired engine........ if you cant afford decent hardware, then you certainly cant afford to build a new engine! Thanks again to all those whom contributed to this, and I look forward to seeing some of you at the Antilag dyno day, coming soon to Hyperdrive Motorsport.
  19. Yeah, Brad and I are talking. although it is not done yet, I'd say it is sorted!
