Thanks for the replies guys, very helpful. I started the car this morning to see what noise(s) it will make. It only made a very small squeal this time, however I did notice for a few seconds it clearly sounded like a belt wasn't even turning, which then kicked in with what sounded like the fan belt. Would this be consistent with a loose fan belt?

Just got the timing belt, seals and water pump done on my R34 GTT and now has an annoying loud screech for a few second on a cold start. I'm gonna probably take it back but in the meantime does anyone have a clear idea which belt is slipping?

I bought my R34 GTT with the HICUS already removed so I'm curious to know what happens if I was to floor it around the corner with HICUS on?

When I was 18 I lost 6 points in one hit in a S13 NA. Was like a kick in the teeth. I figured if I keep driving like that I would probably lose my license pretty quickly. That was 6 years ago and I've never lost a point since, despite owning another 3 imports. That's how I see lessons are well learnt. Perhaps if I hadn't learnt a lesson back then, who knows what kind of horrible things could have happened?

Heya guys, Minor annoyance on my R34 GTT. The key barrel for the boot lid has come loose, and the whole barrel can move freely out of it's hole. There was also a loose object rattling around inside the boot lid until I shook it so hard it fell down a gap and stopped making noise. I assume this was some sort of "clip" that held the key barrel in place. Just curious to find out if anyone knows how the key barrel is secured and if I can source the clip, or whatever it is, someplace to fix it! Many thanks in advance Brett

dam i go to murdoch uni nearly everyday in my s13 and have never spotted a camera near karel ave, or on south street for that matter, musta not be concentrating enough. but without a roe hwy overpass, and all that construction, south street is so spammed with trucks u hardly get over 30k's anyway.
